Spaceman
In English it's how you call it either astronaut or cosmonaut, but depending on context.
"Cosmonaut" is reserved for former Soviet Astronauts, all others being called "Astronauts"
>Lagom
>Can't figure one out
Schadenfreude probably.
For english maybe 'hypocrit'. We have a translation but it's rarely used.
Lagom means "just perfect" "just right" "just enough" "not too much but not too little" etc
Do you have a word for a Peregrine? That doesn't translate back to Falcon
Then it's just one of those dumb words that has 4835 different meanings even in your own language because you're overcomplicated simpletons.
Not at all, I just don't know how I should explain it. It has literally one meaning here. The best one would be "not too much but not too little".
Sobremesa
it refers to the time you spend talking at the table after eating
I guess facepalm
Aka sufficient
I thought that was when you take pleasure in others' misery?
canggung - awkward clumsiness caused by unfamiliarity
betah - see gezellig
I think Lagom holds a positive connotation that differs from the neutral sufficient
No, that implies it's good enough for the work in context. That's not what you imply when you use lagom. "Sufficient" is the word "tillräckligt"
Saudade -It means, home sick or to miss some one.
interface, what the actual fuck does this evan mean?
>Whereas words like sufficient and average suggest some degree of abstinence, scarcity, or failure, lagom carries the connotation of appropriateness, although not necessarily perfection. The archetypical Swedish proverb "Lagom är bäst", literally "The right amount is best", is also translated as "Enough is as good as a feast".[1] That same proverb is translated as "There is virtue in moderation".[2]
Taco ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>it refers to the time you spend talking at the table after eating
We use this word as "dessert", what we eat after the main course.
Saudade.

>interface
It can refer to the means of interacting with a machine.
Your keyboard and screen is an interface. So is the remote control of a TV.
It's also used as a verb by annoying business and advertising people to say "conversed" or "interacted" ie, "we interfaced with the community in an open meeting".
I suppose english has a lot of words that can be verbs or nouns--I imagine that's annoying.
Vahingonilo
It actually means the same as Mr. Satan here posted but it's not hypocrit. Burger here got the meaning right. There's also the word epicaricacy as a possible translation but I have never seen it used.
Literally it means "mishap's joy"
Excused

>Desvelarse

>Bromance
>Saudade -It means, home sick or to miss some one.
Wistful
Oh right
>Also, post a word that English has with no direct translation in your language.
We don't have the verb "have"
>When you have to stay awake or cant get your self to sleep.
We call this being "wired" at least in the States.
I think wired implies a known cause, like too much coffee. But it also wouldn't be appropriate in the case where you "have to stay awake".
On?
Minulla on = I have
Minulla on = On me is
vägi
its technically translated like "power" but connotations are deeper with it meaning like inner force I guess
you need to use on with the correct pronoun and doesn't mean have in itself

Eeks sen pitäis olla

>minussa on
>in me is

Saudade is used in English too

Russians cannot say "I am".
Zugzwang. This German word is a chess term used to refer to when a player must make a move, but has no good options. There is no direct English translation for it.
Reich. It means something like "domain" or "dominion" but there isn't a 1v1 English equivalent of the word.
It's also used outside of chess occasionally

Gezellig - Coziness, a fun atmosphere, a good time with friends.
See Danish hygge, German behaglich.
Siblings, we don't have a word for. We don't have a word to refer to both sisters and brothers at the same time, we say "my brothers and sisters" instead.
>betah - see gezellig
Indonesia uses "gezellig"?
Reich, Dutch "Rijk", is used to mean "Realm, Dominion, Domain, Empire (the non-Monarchy kind)" as in a monarch's realm. It technically does have a translation, in the suffix -dom.
"Königreich" > Kingdom
"Kaiserreich" > Empire/Emperordom (Although that's more accurate to "Kaisertum")

Hm... maybe "cousin". In Slovak there are words "bratranec" for male cousin and "sesternica" for female cousin. But ther is direct, unisex, equivalent for cousin. For example a sentence "Is your cousin boy or girl?" - there is no way to literally translate this into Slovak.
Google Translate seems to default to "bratranec".
