hard to pick a favorite song on the album but i will say it is one of the best albums of all time

every song is the best of the century and all of music history.

even Monkey & Bear which gets no love

Why does nobody ever talk about Emily?

Is that because it's the "obvious" choice and people are afraid it's the pleb choice?

Any song that includes the phrase "hydrocephalitic listlessness" deserves praise.

emily is what got me into the album so I will love it (And the album) forever, but yeah, Only Skin is one of my all-time favorite songs.

Yeah I think it's just the default choice for best song on Ys. I think that and Sawdust and Diamonds are utterly breathtaking. Only Skin is great but just doesn't connect with me in the same way

I think that the phrase

"with hydrocephalitic listlessness, ants mop up their brow"

is a bit difficult to parse.

But when you do.

'rangily' is from 'rangy', as in long limbed which also helps the deformed foal fetus covered in ants image, but the previous stanza seems to suggest the ants are somehow lightening the burden through their work

This is the first time I've ever seen people on Sup Forums unanimously agree that an album is good. Incredible.

I honestly have started to think that Kingfisher is her best song. I used to get frustrated by how slow the build up was, but now I think it's masterfully done.

Only Skin is amazing but I have never liked the whole part that begins with "Stay with me for a while..."
