a little early to be calling him top 3
yeah i guess a little recency bias, but i genuinely think he can be a top 3 rapper of all time, especially if his new album is really good
but i'd probably just replace him with either gza, ghostface or kanye
No order
Gza
Eyedea
Black Thought
i definitely agree that he has huge potential
top 3 for me is
DOOM
biggie

L is definitely underappreciated despite his lyrical talent. Biggie was less conscious of how stupid he was, and appealed to that demographic. 2pac had the best understanding of the big picture. Illmatic is respected as it should be. My friend used to always bring up big L, as if to show me a new trick that I can't match. If we're gunna play that, Jay Z's reasonable doubt is just as underappreciated. Man knew a thing about staying alive and getting paid.
>kool g rap
>big pun

biggie is an extremely close 4th.

>L is definitely underappreciated despite his lyrical talent.
he really isn't
the guy had an above average debut album that has been retroactively inflated to greatest ever status despite it being one of the weaker DITC classics
the only greatest list he should really be topping is one about unrealized talent
If L was still alive Jay Z would be working at Burger King
