>same score as SB2H
/thread
Haha sorry pal, but unfortunately there is no higher score than 10, so patchwork guys were actually right this time, hahahah :)
>boring ladhouse gets 9.1
Why 9.1? What was their justification for the extra 0.1?
It's been 6 years m8, what's even the goal anymore.
Still can't believe this one.
Pretty accurate.
they never got anything wrong that would imply they aren't intentionally full of shit
...
it was just corporate mainstream poppy emo, i think that score is even too high
Between Suicide Squad and Ghostbusters, I think we're seeing the comeback of the soundtrack album. It's been years since I've seen soundtracks talked about as much as those movies, and I actually like that, even though those soundtracks aren't good.
>Meanwhile p4k just gives BNM to corporate hip-hop
>corporate
>mainstream
>poppy
F-
Come up with an actual criticism next time.
>corporate
literally funded the albums themselves after they got dropped from their previous label. The album isn't astounding or anything, but it is a fun pop rock/emo album and what it does, it does well. I could understand around the 5/6 mark. 3.5 is just being contrarian
oh well, if you like to listen to bands who just try to sell as much copies as possible, you are welcome.
>defending major label music on a site that is clearly oriented toward underground music
>site that is clearly oriented toward underground music
>a Kanye West album is on every essentials chart since it came out
/r/indieheads is thataway, pal.
First post best post
They went overboard on this.
...
at first I read that as No Fleshlight
who buys shit like this in the age of playlists and the decades of mix CDs
I've seen literally nobody talk about the ghostbusters soundtrack aside from that awful fall out boy version of the theme song
>bought the album and played it out loud despite it having a parental advisory sticker
1. NOTHING WRONG WITH ME
I think I remember the Guardians of the galaxy soundtrack selling pretty well.
If were talking about original scores there was hype for TFA soundtrack, which disappointed. Also the Hateful Eight which was pretty good
new wild beasts is clearly a strong 10/10 fampaiachis
All Twilight soundtracks had way more attetion than either of these
I think its an average score of their writers, i dont actually know though.
This
How come P4K reviews Rihanna, Beyoncé, Ariana and other pop artists but they never review anything by Taylor Swift?
PURPLE LAMBORGHINI
PURPLE LAMBORGHINI LURKIN
Because she's not black or sjw
Go back to whining about rotten tomatoes and watching your half baked capeshit movies.
They probably will this next cycle, they've gone full pop
because she doesn't make music she makes hissing snake noises
maybe the soundtrack is shit but this song was actually pretty good. nice to see that skrillex is moving towards a more (((trap-influenced)) sound
they gave it a 5.5
w0w don't cut yourself on that edge dude
This is bitch shit
They only dropped the review after the critical consensus had been established for the movie
bump
woah if this isn't a indication of how you cannot really take anything they write seriously, then I don't know what is.
grimes gets an 8.5 and gorillaz gets like a 6.
and anyone notice how they write reviews like a teenage classics minor, who is a budding lesbian activist in her down time?
i guess they had to be careful not to create any original opinions of their own without checking with mommy and daddy first, huh?
...
score
it should be 7.8
it should be 2.7
it should be 8.3
it should be 4.9
fuck pitchfork
deserves at least an 8.5
And they gave a fucking 8.5 to Plastic Beach.
Right here.
Fuck them in the ass.
At the time it was just seen as a staler, more autistic version of the drill n bass stuff that he had been doing for 5 years and the piano stuff was seen as being a bit underdeveloped in comparison to analogues in contemporary classical music. Plus, Windowlicker was seen as a continuation of this line toward pop dominance he was headed toward and it was also 'the best thing he ever did.' I think Drukqs is really cool, but it was way too insular and quiet and strange and too reliant on sounds the critics assumed they had heard before. The left field IDM crowd had also moved away from breaks to glitch, so stuff like Autechre's Confield and Fennesz's Endless Summer was seen as progressive and Aphex was just a nerd.
p4k is dumbass shit, of course they did
at the time they said it was a HD dump and that most of the material was substandard, recycled stuff from a guy running out of ideas
literal lol
Should be 8.3
Should be 6.5 at the most
Should be 8.9
Should be 8.2
Eh, 6.7
Should be 8.7
Go read this "review".
should be lower
...
Both should be 5.5 at best
It's honestly just not a great album.
bout 5 points too high t b h f a m

hospice should be 9.3
funeral 10
tlop - 7

All terrible music
Say what you want about the album, it's not a 2.0
They also weirdly decided THIS was the album they wanted to get on a podium about indie music. What the fuck about this album sounds "indie"?
how can you even justify giving a score in 0.1 increments?
All terrible posts
You mean the ones I quoted that had terrible music? indeed, terrible posts indeed.
bare minimum a 8
this deserved about an 8, though i do believe plastic beach was superior and probably deserved something in the mid 9s
7.3
5.9
8.3
this. neon bible and suburbs are way better
Fuck anyone who hates on this. This songwriting is fucking top notch and the production is gorgeous. For a dance music abum is has great pacing and great use of features.
Settle is a flawless album.
yeah, should be a 9.2
not even trolling
Reminder they gave Currents and In Rainbows the same score
Yeah because Demon Days isn't even close to Plastic Beach, friend.
This bait is so noticeable try harder kid
I'd actually say they're right on this one
its a fantastic pop house album. dunno the hate. Really fun album.
i'm not huge on dg but thats def at least an 8
have you seen their review of elseq, awful
plastic beach is good but yah demon days is like 7.5 or 8
i dont agree with the score but I see why they wouldn't like it. also makes some solid points.
6.2
accurate
9.1
i could have come up with a more accurate score for this album just by looking at the fucking track listing (yes, 0.0 is the score)
this is something they actually got almost right on the nose. plastic beach is a 7.7 though.
This is my go to "need good party music that doesn't suck" album next to Since I Left You. It's so fun and the grooves are so good. Who could hate this album?
Yea too high
Yeah, it is kind of spotty even after recontextualization, and it totally makes sense that Rich would resurface a few years later abandoning computer music and fetishizing analog synths, because Drukqs in spots sounds like Rich losing the plot when faced with unlimited choices and forgetting to make impactful musical decisions in favor of tweaking parameters.
Rate tracks individually 1-10 then average
agree 100%
Nice, dude!
IR should be 10 tbhfamily
