Any free mac vsts to get this kind of sound?

As far as chiptune goes, I have no personal recommendations for modern DAWs, but you can find a list here:

woolyss.com/chipmusic-plugins.php

My best suggestion if you want "real" chipsounds is to emulate the hardware and export for use other DAWs.

Try using soundfonts from games like Mother 3 or something, I think there's a few "chiptune" ones too

You might also have luck making instruments out of single-cycle waveforms in your DAW's sampler.

Here's my DMG. So far I've installed a 1/4" jack (using the "prosound" mod), an amplifier, and backlight, all courtesy of kitsch. I'm hoping to add a clock mod and assemble an external arduinoboy when the parts arrive.

Is there anywhere I can get replacement screws? I managed to lose one of the tri-wings that hold the case together.

Damn that's sick.

I'm sure replacement parts are out there somewhere but all I can think of right now is just gutting another Gameboy.

I've been curious about tracking on actual hardware but my only relevant, functional device is a GBC.

This looks interesting though.

Bumping with interesting trackers

Sunvox is a free (on desktop), modular soft synth tracker that works on basically any platform, including mobile.

warmplace.ru/

Radium is a unique, open-source tracker that supports waveform visualization in the pattern editor and VST plugins.

users.notam02.no/~kjetism/radium/

Jeskola Buzz is a modular tracker that supports VST plugins.

jeskola.net/buzz/

LSDJ is a GameBoy homebrew tracker that can run on real hardware or on an emulator that creates songs supported by the original GameBoy sound chip.

Famitracker is a standalone program that can be used to create chiptune music supported by various sound chips, including the NES/Famicom.

The world wasn't ready for /mod/.

Ah, a classic!

It's crazy the amount of quality work that was done on trackers that were never shared to their full extent because of the limitations of the internet at the time.

I love that some people are keeping the tradition alive.

youtu.be/LCl9xYSOVtM

Another classic.

Anyone else /keygenfeels/ here?

Most if not all of the tracks in this thread have been used in keygens before.

Great way to find incredible remnants from the tracker era.

I believe this one was used in Digital Insanity's Sony Vegas keygen.

This is one of the most incredibly interesting things i've seen on Sup Forums

youtu.be/79fXqwarY3k

Another keygen legend.

Might not catch on though. I'll make a full OP next time and hope for the best.

The real thing.

Former Chili Pepper tearing up the tracker scene with his Renoise concept album released in 2015.

adventurekid.se/akrt/waveforms/

Adventure Kid has an insane amount of single cycle waveforms available for free use here. Perfect for samplers.

Pls do user, this is really interesting

If /mod/ actually generates any interest, I was thinking of doing a sort of module collection for Sup Forums tracker producers to bring back the spirit of sharing modules.

I like this a lot

damn that's smooth

tracker covers are always a treat
youtu.be/p0EbnIGKc7w

wtf is tracker music?
is this deep web pedo shit?

These two are perfect examples of the trade-off between creativity and accuracy.

The VRC6 obviously can't replicate anything close to the sounds used in the original song, so neat chip tricks are used to make it interesting and new.

The ModPlug song uses incredible samples that sound a lot like the original.

I hope this shit doesn't turn into a meme here. Especially by those that don't know the difference between MIDI and soundfonts.

Oh and make a decent copypasta for the OP, OP. I'll do my best to contribute next time around but I'm sure there is another certain board that would be more appreciative of this than Sup Forums.

who doog here

You also forgot Milkytracker

Have some Black midi fusion

/jp/?

No /vr/ considering the history of trackers involving the Amiga

That actually makes way more sense

I've got an OP ready for next time.

I might make a redirection thread in /vr/ to get some traffic.

>Predominant way for hobbyist musicians to make music for the ~2 decades when consumer computer hardware wasn't adequate for modern daws

>Deep web

I wonder if there's a wiki I can put in the next OP comparing major trackers.

Damn I've never seen shit like this before. That's crazy.

I was just posting some unique ones.
I can try a more complete list next time.

Shame how no actually good tracker does waveform visualization.
