I want to get into grunge but the only band that I know is Nirvan
Recommend me some other good grunge bands, possibly that still make music today

Tool

generic flipper
U-men
Green river
mud honey
the only 3 grunge bands you need
The new Alice in Chains albums are pretty good, considering they don't have Layne anymore.
>Tool
>Grunge
>Green river
lmao dropped
The other big Grunge bands are Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. All of them released albums in the 2010s, so I guess they're all active
Nirvana is soooo different than these bands though. They are all lumped together because Seattle, but they aren't the same kind of band as Nirvana (punk rock) at all. ESPECIALLY Pearl Jam
Melvins is what Sup Forums will tell him
I think OP will get into the Butthole Surfers though
THERE IS NO GOOD GRUNGE BESIDES NIRVANA
now shoo
Grunge is a shitty term and Nirvana doesn't fit into it sonically at all.
Listen to Flipper, Black Flag, Rites of Spring, This Heat, Sonic Youth, Wipers, etc.
grunge doesn't mean shit to me
just listen to punk, metal, noiserock. whatever you like. in case of nirvana: listen to the beatles, black flag, melvins and stuff like that.

There, those are pretty essential
Kurt was into all those bands, and all those bands had big influences on grunge (except maybe This Heat... weird inclusion), but you're missing a lot of great bands of that type of music if you just dismiss the entire 80s Seattle scene.
>the beatles, black flag, melvins and stuff like that.
Tha fuck does that mean? Stuff like what? Yeah those are all major influences on Nirvana, but The Beatles have literally nothing to do with those bands
The logical conclusion to grunge
celebirty skin is still so god damn catchy, fuck
that's because a REAL musician, not a pleb grunge noisemaker wrote it
Nirvan is kill ;_;
>ctrl-f "Mudhoney"

>and it's not even from Superfuzz Bigmuff
I am /r/ Mudhoney Superfuzz Bigmuff
Seek out Superfuzz Bigmuff Plus Early Singles. That's a great EP, but honestly the early singles are even better.
> tfw Corgan basically just ripped off Chicago's dreamy post-hardcore bands, like Hum and The Poster Children
this this this
Try Tom Jones
stone temple pilots
