This is cringe, let's not continue to circle jerk over this
Samuel Brown
That's a refin. Looks like a bad surf green or something.
Brayden Allen
>10 string edition Step off, this is my turf !
Parker Perry
>Vai is cringe Maybe, but like good cringe
Ryan Roberts
Seafoam Green.
Alexander Miller
Yea I'm torn between California Blue, Ocean Turqouiose or an aged Daphne
Parker Long
>Only 9 strings
Christian Lewis
>This is cringe
what did he mean by this
Levi Collins
She, faggot
Bentley Scott
MtF?
Easton Russell
Fair enough. It's solid advice though... I can agree that it's not too deep but it's something most forget and funny enough, lots of players that idolize shredders like Vai are the first to forget that.
Paco is amazing, my favorite flamenco player.
I guess that's where the "the technique bringup depends on what you want to play" comes, some twinks here need near zero technique to play shugaz, other grampas need a bit more to play buttrock or dadrock and some require tons of technique to play flamenco (ie (You))
[TRIGGERED] Pls be mindful of the female /gg/ populace
Jackson Scott
>This is cringe Reminder to everyone here that enjoying guitar or talking about enjoying guitar is NOT ALOUD here and should be ridiculed
Robert Collins
What kind of bullshit mentality is this?
Owen Peterson
What is the purpose of a double necked guitar?
Adam Stewart
Usually so you can go from 6 to 10 string or guitar to bass without having to switch instruments.
Ian Price
for playing songs with a guitar part in different tunings or string configurations
also looks sweet af
Isaac Nelson
Neat.
Jackson Long
>guitar to bass without having to switch instruments. That's what an ERG (starting from 8 strings) should be used for actually. But no one seems to get that they're in the bass range.
Zachary Allen
>no money right now >dirt cheap decent gear shows up on kiji/craigslist >get money >absolutely nothing worth spending on up on kiji/craigslist What is this trickery Who's behind this
Jason Johnson
>tfw nothing good on local cl >ever
Parker Richardson
Guys, am I going nuts are these sunburst bodies not the same tone/color/shade?
>pic related
Cameron Allen
The one on the right is lighter and I think is 3-tone sunburst while left is just 2-tone
Asher Bell
Cover the colored part, the body of the left is darker than the right
I feel like an idiot asking this, thanks in advance.
Sebastian Morgan
Not every finish is going to be the exact same f.am
Benjamin Rodriguez
thanks for your help, guys, as this was bugging me for a while
Juan Jackson
>tfw you get a $150 pedal that's essentially brand new for $70 on CL
Feels good man.
Wyatt Clark
The guitar "fades" too fast
Chase James
In general any time you put steel strings on a classical guitar it will utterly destroy. The guitars were built for strings that are around 70-90lbs of tension a set. Steel string sets are generally 120-150lbs. Almost twice as much.
Aaron Johnson
You americucks and leafs are lucky Well, leafs not so much because their shit economy but anyways In other parts of the world getting good used gear is a fantasy. I've been in South America for a couple of years and all I see in classifieds is heavily rusted/fucked up gear or entry level shit at unreasonable prices.
Jackson Anderson
Steve is so charming, I wish I enjoyed his music more
Carter Russell
>not taking the pibes along to rob a local store
Kayden Barnes
máximo queq
Blake Morgan
That sucks man. Thanks to eBay, Craigslist, and Reverb, I haven't paid full price for any guitar gear (except cables and picks) in years.
Andrew Mitchell
I'm german my man But yeah, obviously don't move to a third world country if you want to get good gear lmao
But yeah mostly shitty entry-level stuff covered in stupid stickers and yellow caution tape straps.
Hunter Fisher
Fortunately I'm able to travel to the US more than once yearly and I buy all my stuff there. Haven't paid full price for anything in years too. Got some nice deals out of eBay and Reverb and have a very good rep at Sweetwater. > Germany I'll abstain of any Sup Forums commentary my man, but I feel so tempted. Would move anywhere else if I had a choice tbqh but I'm stuck here for a few extra years. And rusted to hell hardware. Damn weather and people not caring about their stuff.
Colton Richardson
Thanks, I just glad I stopped before breaking anything. I really thought it was considered an "acoustic" guitar and putting some steel strings on it was ok.
Eli Parker
>tfw enjoy his music and personality He's so cheesy and I love it
Cameron Garcia
Do it, it's a totally different sound.
Jacob Ross
Classical guitars are built much lighter in order to need less energy to produce sound. Steel strings are higher tension and produce more energy than nylon to transfer to the top of the guitar which moves air and produces sound. To compensate for this, classical guitar luthiers will thin the top to between 2-2.5mm thick so the nylon strings can vibrate the top efficiently.
For your guitar it probably doesn't matter too much, but I like to ere on the side of caution.
John Wilson
Guys, I need help deciding on which guitar to get from CL.
buffalo.craigslist.org/msg/5724486427.html This one is a MIM standard strat and the seller told me he bought it new in 2010 or 2011 and has been his secondary guitar (spending most of its life in its case). He also says it needs new strings, and is selling because he is downsizing his collection because he doesn't play as much anymore. The seller also states there are minor pickguard scratches and the trem bar is missing (I have a spare one lying around).
buffalo.craigslist.org/msg/5718443506.html This seller hasn't responded to me yet, but I called Fender HQ and gave them the serial #. They say it's a 1995 MIM standard strat, and they verified everything in the photo matches what they have on record.
So Sup Forums, what do? Both seem pretty good, yet I have not had a chance to play them both yet, I hope I will before the end of the week. Also, I am biased toward maple fretboards, but the other one the guy is offering a hard case.
Thanks
Bentley Long
>americucks >then proceeds to wish his third word shithole country was more like America Fuck off we're full, Paco.
Zachary Carter
Get the first one 90s mim standards suck ass
Nathan Hill
Okay, can you elaborate more on why they suck?
Jackson Bell
maple fretboards suck dick pay 275 bucks and get the one w/ the hardcase
Andrew Jackson
Cause theyre gay
Zachary Ramirez

Jose Lopez
Ignore this idiot(s) and wait for a real reply, user.
John Davis

Aaron Perez
>Asking $275 obo. >obo nuqquh wtf r u dewan offer $175
Isaiah Rodriguez
Is there any way to buy Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups or clones? Or do I have to go look for used Strats?
Eli Russell
Horrible finish on the necks,if you've ever played an affinity squier the feel is similar. The newer ones have an improved finish all over. Harsh ceramic pickups, cheaper hardware.
The new standards are much better
Isaiah Morales
Anyone else like to chew on their picks? I don't even realize I'm doing it anymore, it just happens subconsciously. I sit down at my desk and suddenly five minutes later there's a pick in my mouth.
Jaxson Young
I don't chew em but I always put em in my mouth.
(like cocks)
Isaac Edwards
what is the guitar effect used at the beginning of this song called like? youtube.com/watch?v=-NHWF1cCRw0 is it a combination of a wah and another pedal?
Adam Price
>cheaper >16 years younger >comes with HSC what's wrong with you? get the rosewood one
Austin Russell
All boards that aren't pau ferro suck, you retarded pleb. Maple is just as good as all the other pleb woods.
Asher Walker
Flanger.
Ryder Bennett
Cocobolo or Ebony are the best boards, but they don't belong on electric guitars. They're too good for that.
Anthony Davis
MUH TOAN WUD
Luis Allen
thanks bud
David Morris
has anyone who plays gigs ever used a mixer or something for multiple effects channels?
i use one for recording so i don't have to keep re-playing the same thing but with different effects.
would it work? i don't want certain effects mingling with eachother. like, i don't want to have a reverb in the same chain as a flanger
Sebastian Sanchez
Pau is the best because it is the hardest and smoothest, not because of some bullshit guitar tone meme. String contact is more precise, it has good compression, and is less resinous than rosewoods/ebony.
Gabriel Fisher
My guitars have frets.
Hudson White
>bought an vox ac15 new off of reverb >find a used one $150 cheaper on local cl literally right after
So, how is hormone "replacement" therapy working out for you?
Bentley Green
at least this time there's no hidden dildo
Jacob Reyes
Nice setup. Those couches/chairs are ugly as fuck tho.
Josiah Phillips
guitar is the plebbiest instrument
official instrument power rankings:
1) massed brass 2) percussion 3) solo brass 4) massed strings 5) solo strings 6) drums 7) piano 8) guitar 9) bass 10) all woodwinds
Owen Taylor
>official i'm gonna need a licence there buddy
Matthew Phillips
You asshole, you're supposed to link the new thread in the old one. I was sitting with the old tab open for hours waiting for more spicy /gg/ debate
Nathaniel Thomas
my authorization code is 44TR-8PLEV
affiliation is national bureau of power rankings
John Kelly
It was linked in the old thread.
Carson Cox
>national /gg/ is international, I'm afraid that power ranking is non-valid.
Benjamin Harris
O shit
disregard
Chase Miller
one nation; the human nation
Christian Barnes
...
Tyler King
I'm sorry, but that license was revoked when you put drums up there at number 6.
Carson Brown
what tools do you guys use for drums? i'm literally debating buying a little shitty drum kit because i already have a mic, talk me down from the ledge
Carter Campbell
I've got some questions about in-ear monitors.
Can you get great sound out of a single driver?
Does anyone use stereo mixes (e.g. left channel is the main mix, right channel is "more me" or "just me" mix)?
Any brand recommendations? I was probably going to go Shure, because everything from Sennheiser seems too expensive.
Logan Reyes
>because i already have a mic Just one ? Because one mic isn't enough for drums, you're better off using a software drum machine like EzDrummer or whatever's the cool stuff now.
Levi Campbell
I like the way they look, nothing to do with tone. If you're solely focused on avoiding fretboard shrinkage/growth and wood movement due to humidity and tempurature then there are better woods.
Jeremiah Bennett
>bald >fur coat all over body and legs >high test as fuk lmao, try again brotendo
Austin Taylor
Does anyone have any guitar inspo? exercise, tunes, literally anything that will get me back into playing again! Struggling to find the motivation to fit it in anymore...
Easton Scott
It's cool, I might give you a reacharound if you're nice.
Now simmer down.
Cooper Robinson
You're going to want more than one mic, buddy, but you could try to get an okay sound from a well placed large diaphragm condenser.
I've been working with a 5-mic setup in Ableton and the workflow is finally starting to make sense. I think most people use pro tools.
Elijah Torres
*glares at you* sit the fuck down *you gulp* *you fall down on your butt* that's fucking right
Nolan Scott
>*actions*
Yeah, off to plebbit with you and your little twinkbutt and green twinkstick.
Brandon Foster
*unseaths katana* *teleports behind you*
Too slow...
Cooper Diaz
These are pretty nifty. They're not perfect, but tons of fun once you figure out how to use it properly.
