I think I may have told you this at some point, but the song I Will is one of my and my girlfriend's songs, it's so beautiful and describes our situation so perfectly. Any Gracious Heart is one of my favorite albums of all time, the lyrical and vocal work on it is astonishing. Heavily recommended.

One of you favorites of ALL TIME? That's a crazy honor. Glad I'm making something that's relatable, although in that song's case that's not always a good thing I guess. Anyway gimme some time to give Quarry a thorough listen because I really want/need to give some feedback in a day or two
Thanks for your absurdly flattering words. And don't put yourself under me in any way, seriously. I must listen to your new album
> in that song's case that's not always a good thing I guess
Oh definitely, it's a sort of melancholy but uplifting connection we have to it. In short terms, we both had to do some arguably rotten things to get to where we are, but being in each other's presence makes us each feel the burning desire to improve ourselves and make the other happy. I've been in dozens of relationships over the years, some lasting just a few weeks, one of almost a decade, and she's the only person who's ever made me want so desperately to evolve into the best version of me, to break through the apathy and embrace my whole self, just to give it to her. And "I Will" encapsulates that, to me at least. It's a beautiful, if somewhat dreary, feeling.
Also no rush on listening to Quarry, but I deeply appreciate the sentiment and if you do listen to it, I hope you enjoy it. It's a bit rough production-wise but the ending will surprise you.
Also yes, one of my favorites of ALL TIME, not just of BC artists. For the folk genre, this album is a go-to and essential listen for me. Your wordplay and guitarwork are wonderful, particularly your fingerpicking. And your voice's timbre is so delicate and beautiful, it has an angelic, androgynous quality to it that just makes my soul feel warm.

i was so fucked up drunk for most of those recordings that I was afraid a lot of my intoxicated creative decisions would ruin it, but apparently a lot of people loved the electric guitar in ITAOTS
I once recorded something similar, but the whole sound just killed the vibe and it didn't sound like what this song's supposed to sound.
Also, it was muddy shit because of all the lofi crap I was using to record my guitars and vocals

Why does 90% of this shit have "ambient" in the genre description?
It's an oversaturated genre.
Also people tend to think any music that focuses a bit more on establishing a mood instead of being dance music is ambient.
easiest genre to make, easiest genre to fake being good at, easiest genre to pull out the 'you don't get it' card when someone points out how garbage your music is

Saw "folk", "sludge", and "electronic" in the same sentence, had to listen. I'm on the queued track and hoooooly fuck this is cool as shit. Production is rad, the lyrics fucking ruuuule. This is awesome so far, listening to all of this right now. The vocals are like Beck and Cake put t ogether but with a weird fucking sludge/stoner doom aspect with NIN-esque beats, holy fuck.

Listened to "Bleed" and am listening to Vol II: Relapsus now. Bleed reminds me a lot of 90's industrial rock stuff, which I've got a huge sweet spot for. Great vocals and guitar work. From what I've heard of Relapsus so far, it's incredibly unique, and I'm loving the crystal clear production.

Haha, wooow that's uh...that's the first time anyone has ever said they dug the production, I think it sounds like shit but hey man, I'm glad you like it, you're definitely one of the first. It was all just recorded on a shitty Line 6 in my bedroom with a USB mic and programmed drums.
Though listening to your album I think we kind of both draw on similar soundscapes so I can see how it appeals to you. I'm not fucking around, I really love this album of yours. I bookmarked it and I plan on listening to the rest of your discography. The idea of capturing the musical spirit of lust is something I tried to accomplish on songs like Deceiver and Bleed, I think you fucking nailed it (plus I'm a sucker for concept albums). I'm gonna devote some time to checking out your discography; in all sincerity, I'm a fan already. Your music has a rad tongue-in-cheek and somewhat idiosyncratic charm that I'm really drawn to.
Yeah, at least the noise scene has fucking elitists who will lynch you if your harsh noise walls aren't all analog, with perfect, flawless textures.
Sidenote: if you would ever feel like collabing I would fucking love to try and put something together with you sometime. You've clearly got a lot of passion and vision for what you do and I think we have a lot of similar influences.

This isn't exactly my cup of tea stylistically but your musical and visual aesthetics are reaaally in sync and you clearly know exactly how to achieve/design the sound you want. The production is fucking GORGEOUS. It's not a genre I'd really go out of my way to listen to but, as an outsider, I can tell it's something people into that kind of thing would really go apeshit over.
Also I don't know you but I'm sure your butt looks great today

Description:
Tragedy and viscera, established vicariously through slow, warm, looping and warping drones, glitches, bursts of noise, stinging synths and overwhelmingly profound levels of volume. In the ever expanding thirty eight minutes that creates this single track, Jorge embodies the strong foundations of these beliefs in what is Fauxiliary.
Now available for stream and download!
