Really really love both of these. Especcially the organ based ambient.
Thanks for listening! I've been a listener of your stuff since underwater album but you've escaped from my radar a while ago. From the short snippets I've heard I feel like downloading your newest and give it a deeper, full listen which I might do in a near future. Definitely a fan of these layers of structures and a mixture of noise and drone for sure! And that artwork is quite nice.

I have my first day off in two weeks today so I'm going to give you guys a listen as soon as I get home (should have listened to Epiglottis months ago)
This is what I think about when I hear "bedroom pop". I fucking love the way it sounds. A yes from me.
Yes.

Yes.
You should since my stuff is so good (total negativity towards my stuff intensifies)

>ambient synthpop, late night driving music, vintage synths
I'm expanding some songs from this on my next album since they're pretty short and unrefined here.

Also really unique stuff. At least to my ignorant ears.

Holy fucking shit nigga why haven't I checked this one out before. The world needs more noise folk like this.

Okay just got home and am going to start with Castle on Glass since it's on spotify but I was wondering why this was currently the only one of your releases that made it on there so far
Unless it's possible there's more than one Epiglottis spotify artist
Thank you so much guys. Will make sure to listen to the projects I haven't yet when this beautiful Epiglottis album finishes
Yeah, I suppose none of my other releases has been filtered though RouteNote yet so that may be the case. I hope they will be up some day... Hopefully soon enough!
Gotcha
Can you walk us through the process behind Castle on Glass? I'm loving it so far but for instrumental albums I try and gather as much information as I can about the inspiration and goal the artist was going for. If you don't mind, that is

Oh boy, you and Yamir gon be doin a dual release
Btw, do you have a bandcamp?
No problem!
I think at the time I've got this concept in mind. There was an old release which I made under my previous project called The Warsaw Ballads. I liked the idea of it but I felt that the execution of that album was a bit painful, especially because of the rather poor quality of the mix and stuff. I started to think of a way to make a possible continuation/remake of this solo piano ambient-esque concept. And it hit at the perfect timing because I got my piano slightly detuned and I've been playing with that in general and I thought that it could be made into an album.
Most of these songs are improvised which can be heard in a few instances when I lose a tempo here and there. Down here we had a very nasty winter this year so I've added that frosen, snow-like idea into the mix - bleak recording, behind a sort of ice wall.
The titles are more or less a product of a concept as well. By that time I had a very hard time to keep up with my (now finished) relationship with somebody abroad. And in some instances the titles are a reflection of some situation which happened to us in the summer of '15. Like my small gift for her ("Silver Figurine"), a discussion on some weird psychological phenomenons ("ROCD"), trying to represent her in a musical form when we first met each other ("Lena") and that eerie feeling of sadness and being scared of losing her (therefore a name "Castle on Glass"). Basically a weeb thing and stuff.
I guess at the end of it all I just sat down with the concept in my head. Record track after track and do a long stops for a warm tea and to look outside the window. That's about it, really. For more technical stuff I would have to dig up a recording setup info but mostly sound from mics came though analog and digital effects and then recorded on the computer.
If you want to ask about anything specific then ask as directly as you can. My English is average at best.
Now that I listened to the whole Even Oxen album I can say this is the best thing I've ever heard in the Bandcamp threads yet.
The album delivered perfectly, sometimes it reminded me of Neutral Milk Hotel.
"The Dragon on the Shore Beside the Sea" was absolutely perfect, at the end it made me think of Murmuüre. How did you achieve this sound?
Sadly I can't buy your album, because I'm living the poorfag life, but I'll surely listen to this more.

I love it dude. Both the explanation and album itself. The fact that there's tracks which interrupt the "organic" feel of the album like Rust On Paper and the title track work well to give it variety in such a skeletal and minimalist work. It's like if Satie and Winged Victory For the Sullen made an album together. (Oh and the theme is just precious, I love the analogy of a relationship being so beautiful yet unstable. Very relatable)
Please make more like this. Though I do like this album, I can't help but feel that you could outdo yourself. I hope you have plans to include full orchestras into your work. Could easily see you becoming a great orchestrator.
Please don't feel the need to buy the album, there's actually a name your own price option because i just want others to experience it and easily share it. By just putting $0 and downloading, it can be yours.
As for The Dragon on the Shore Beside the Sea, I achieved the sound by the setup in pic related. I'd beat on the jug with a potato masher and the high-pitched metallic sounds were achieved by hitting the legs of the chair. Meanwhile, I held a tambourine in the other hand. Luckily got the whole thing down in one take (which was great because I don't always have the house to myself to be that loud)

You're WAY too kind my friend. And funnily enough at that time I've started to appreciate Satie and Debrussy so you're might be onto something...
I have albums like these in my catalog but since RouteNote fucks things up apparently, they are only available on Bandcamp, for now. If you like to listen to these look up titles:
100 Days Later
Nocturnes for L.
Lucid Piano
Basically the same basic principles of minimalism and piano work but with heavy alteration of mood/concept/idea.
I mean, these albums (hopefully my full discography) will end up on Spotify but hell, that will take AGES if they're going like this...
>I hope you have plans to include full orchestras into your work. Could easily see you becoming a great orchestrator.
These plans are really important to me as of now but I'm basically a retard if it comes to making scores and/or arranging things. Some attempts have been made but I've never feel satisfied with them. That's why I only think of things in solo format since it's most relatable to me and it makes me less angry overall. So by that standard it's something that is too high for me to reach.
But thank you for your comment. It warmth my heart that somebody can appreciate these piano farts :)
Time to listen to WATER DOSE
this is fire btw
Well alright, I'll keep an eye out on your spotify page in the hopes that it will show up since I listen to most of my music that way. Looking forward to whatever you might have in store for us

Boy, did I suffer enough
Short and fresh EP. You've a nice handle on production. Team up with an MC and make the greatest hip hop EP since TNGHT
You're next up
thanks :)
Even Oxen album is really cool, NMH comparisons obvs, but totally done right, really cool. Dope production, lofi but totally tight playing etc.

Oh! Thankful to say I've had the pleasure of listening to abracadanny. Thanks for the info though, user
Thanks man, I honestly prefer "Évtizedekre ottfelejtett gyűlölet" more
I find it interesting how you've incorporated dance music into this. And btw, if you honestly prefer that album instead, I'll keep it in my backlog but I couldn't resist the "new album" sticker
Dance music + noise is basically power noise.
There used to be an user in these threads who also makes noise with beats, he inspired me.
This album also: deadneanderthals.bandcamp.com
Great atmospheres, really good lyrics, inbetween straightforward, conversational and abstract/poetic, great middle ground.
Bump for a superior thread
