The instrumentation is nice, great layers at some points. Work on the higher vocals, they're kind of grating. Also your artwork seems bland, but it looks like you don't want it to be. Really prefer the cover for Tango.

Rachel Evans, the person behind Motion Sickness of Time Travel, downloaded my album, which is pretty neat.
hey man, really dig your stuff. (not just saying that) ive actually begun to record some noise stuff too. i was wondering what you used to convert the mp3s to flacs to get them on bandcamp?
Thanks for the honest feedback mate! As for your stuff; I'm not to sure how to critique. perhaps because perfection cant be improved upon
I am Really digging these melodies. Vocal mixing melds really well with the dronier bits. Downloading this so I can listen to it more later.
Drone ain't my thing dude. I don't wanna try and give any feedback on this that isn't constructive.
What has everyone bought/downloaded lately that is cool? Looking to check out some new stuff.
ok now that theres a new thread i wanna talk about something. i delayed the album about 45 days to give me more time to finish up the last song left. i removed one track and changed the track listing a bit to better fit the album's flow and not notice some obvious tropes that i did overuse once in a while. i was able to end my insecurities with the last track by adding some stuff onto it so now theres nothing for me to worry about outside of getting the word out for my album and finishing that last song.

I am I was so-so on your other work. I like what I hear on this album though. It has been awhile since I listened to your older work but it sounds like you improved on your vocals. I remember them being a little more "jumpy," so it is good to hear that it is more solid now. I will say some of the instrumentation is a little bland. It does pick up and become more interesting though. I would like to hear more of the cool psychedlia instrumentation than anything else. Downloaded the album so I can check it out more later.
It may be a bit unfair since I cannot check out the project in full, but it doesn't sound like a full soundscape to me continuously. While some of the instrumentation is nice it doesn't really create a setting for me. The closing track was cool.
Good to hear, I only did PSS and the spoken word on Just as Bros then the finger guns thing was just fucking around with trying to make soundscapes for spoken word stuff. Don't think I have the time or talent for that though. The rap stuff is our engineer.
As for getting the stuff in FLAC our engineer exported it out of the software that way. I forget what program he uses, he has an apprenticeship with a studio a few hours south of me so they let him use their software from an external drive.

Pretty enjoyable. Maybe falls a little too in line with some production styles that are a little too common nowadays, but it is whatever as long as the final product is okay.

Answer this one simple question:
Why can't I get gigs with this music?
Boys of Moe / Cuerdas Rotas is really, really cool. You've got a really great sound and the compositions are really unique. I suppose a criticism could be that there's not a lot of variance in structure, but the songs are short enough that they don't overstay their welcome. Listening to the self titled now, I'm digging it also.
I like this, although the panned vocals really trigger my autism. It's not very original, but for what it is, it's pretty darn good. Solid indie pop/rock.
Meme/10. Had a good laugh.
I was hyped for the new album and wasn't let down. Really great stuff. Only criticism I can think of right now is that maybe the vocals should be mixed a little higher so they would be more intelligible.
Digging "Endless Thoughts." Great drones, could listen to for hours.
What did you sample the clicking noise that opens "Green" from? I swear I've heard it before. Is it a Coil song?
Regardless, I'm enjoying it. It's pretty creative and unique, the sci fi theme adds a lot.

Something about this is just really funny. Love the instrumentation, vocals, and lyrics. I'd pay to see you.
Listened to "Roots," you broke my mind. Love the genre mashing. "Bottlenook" is my fave.
This is pretty amazing.
Not every album you can listen to so quickly, and i appreciate your recognition of how valuable my time is.
At times the kazoo was a bit louder than the vocal, but that was ok because it made me listen even harder to figure out what you were saying.
The timing on Fat Pockets is splendid.
Solid album reviews as well.
Overall I'm very impressed. When are you going on tour?

>acoustic, high vocals, samples, cello, ambient, freak folkish
recs:
Seriously? I figured out what I was thinking of: "Where Are You?" by Coil. Check it out, it begins basically the same exact way. Pretty funny coincidence.
"Through the Valley of Mist" is really cool and has amazing art to go with it, although the drone gets sort of irritatingly repetitive after a while, and I wish the guitar had been mixed higher. I have no clue what was going on in "Vivid," but that was pretty neat also. I'll definitely be listening to you in the future, keep it up.
Love me some good post-metal, and this is exactly that. Nothing particularly unique or original, but still very high quality stuff. EPIII is great, "BOCD" was my favorite, great basslines on that track.
I like this, a lot. Detailed and psychedelic synthesizer compositions always scratch an itch for me. Didn't care much for the vocals at the end, but other than that I see nothing to criticize, keep it up.
Thanks, you guys are true fans.
I totally forgot about album reviews on that by the way. I have now added all feedback I can remember from BC threads.

I like what you did with Rectal Mucosa, just finished playing Half-Life and it reminded me of when you're in Xen. You should release another with more tracks.

We have a brand new studio album called Projekto de Bombas, made in collaboration with Pradera de Bombas, a band we're friends with and share one member. So this is a different album for us.

El Vacio Del Gaucho (2015) was composed over several months and, while recorded 'live' (simultaneously) it has overdubs and some studio trickery.
Our jam albums Zapadas vol 1 and 2 are selections of completely raw recordings and 100% improvised music made just for fun but are pretty nice albums in themselves. Then there's the debut self titled album from 2012.

Everyone gets a (You) as long as I'm around.
Sup fellow PA musician. Listening to "Galaxies Collide," love the chill and spacey vibes. Great basslines as well. I got a little bored of the beats, that could use a little more variety, but other than that, no complaints.
Solid noise pop stuff. Listening to "Writing a Pop Song...", it's very enjoyable although it doesn't stand out against other stuff in the genre. I really enjoyed the solo on "Save Yourself," and I like the vocal delivery on pretty much all the tracks.
I'm enjoying "Hail" quite a bit. Right off the bat, the basslines are groovy and smooth, but a little dirty as well. The lofi production also adds a bit of character. I liked "Work Some More" and "No Rest" the most.
"Sea" is actually pretty interesting, I like the story behind it a lot. What did you do to manipulate the original tracks into what we're hearing on the album? The only thing that bothers me is the occasional popping noises, although that's most likely just a product of having recorded it with a computer mic.
I'm digging this, it's got kind of a 90's IDM vibe but it's also really fresh and interesting. The meme characters in the titles triggers my autism, but whatever. I also like the use of samples, it's really creative. "All Oh" and "Tri Dub" are my faves.
I'm loving this! You're visual aesthetic is really cool, and I'm really digging "Projeckto de Bombas." It's got a classic rock flavor, but it also reminds me a lot of Do Say Make Think.
I've already told you this, solid hard rock stuff. It's vanilla, but it's kind of good to hear that on Bandcamp every once and a while, when everything else is so experimental. Looking forward to the album.

Description:
Tragedy and viscera, established vicariously through slow, warm, looping and warping drones, glitches, bursts of noise, stinging synths and overwhelmingly profound levels of volume. In the ever expanding thirty eight minutes that creates this single track, Jorge embodies the strong foundations of these beliefs in what is Fauxiliary.

Where's a good place to send your music in for reviews?
The toilet
even the most indie and smallest of online blogs most likely won't accept your small bandcamp project that only six people have heard. once you gain a small amount of popularity and become good friends with lots of people in your local community (or online as well) you might be able to score an interview or a review of your album. i know Even Oxen got reviewed by some christian music website, and unlove(?) got an interview from some indie site.
me personally i tried sending my ep to a local indie site about 6 months ago, they just told me that they were interested and would listen to it sometime soon. never heard back from them :)
