Reccing this album. The trumpet playing is amazing and the rest of the band is amazing too. They take really long and energetic solos that sound free sometimes.
Also anybody have recs for other artists based on this? No Hubbard.
Can I ask for recs here? I listened to machine gun and thought it was pretty fun. What's some other really loud, chaotic, wall of noise free jazz? I'm coming from more of a noise music background than a jazz background.
Best Art Blakey album right here
This is actually a serious rec.

Dexter Gordon Doin Alright
Mingus Ah um + moanin
Dave Brubeck Time Out
Benny Carter + Frank Rosolino A walkin thing
I like all of them because they're technical and flashy while still having a clean sound and aren't too avant garde
pic related is arguably one of the greatest piano trio albums of all time
Bobby Hutcherson RIP
RIP, really great musician. I really like his 60s blue note stuff.
