Homosexual metal is unquestionably better that that made by heterosexual musicians. Look at Trelldom for example: Nothing from the Norwegian second wave even comes close to the standout accomplishment that is Til evighet... Much the same can be said about Havohej's masterpiece Dethrone the Son of God when compared to the works of other early USBM acts. Why did Faust (of the prominent Norwegian act Emperor) stab that queer man to death? Like his peers, he was infatuated with pagan, ritualistic acts, chief among which is the absorption of a foes power by vanquishing them. Faust wanted to take Emperor to the upper echelon of black metal bands and the year after the murder, In the Nightside Eclipse was released. Aside from the prominence in black metal, homosexuals have also had profound impact on death metal, the other major extreme metal subgenre: Founding fathers Death released what is undoubtedly their most sophisticated release when mastermind Chuck Schuldiner was joined by drummer Sein Reinert and Guitarist Paul Masvidal, both of whom are now openly gay. Furthermore, the duo's main project Cynic expanded the boundaries of extreme metal and is still today on the forefront of modern metal. Of course, the most prominent example has been left out so far: Rob Halford of Judas Priest (considered by many to be the band that took heavy metal from "spooky blues rock" to being a genre of its own) singlehandedly made the gay leather look the stable visual presentation in every part of the metal spectrum.
Evidence for other members of the LGTB community than gay males having an advantage in metal is comparably limited, although Cretin, the pinnacle of death/thrash-infused grindcore with lead songwriter Marissa Martinez certainly supports this idea.
