this is wild. love the drums but i feel like theyre too high in the mix, cant quite make out whats going on with the guitars when they get busy in certain parts. im reminded of tera melos with how wacky these guitars can sound.
this is pretty. the piano is def super loud, and the drums dpnt jmp at you like i think they were supposed to, but i like it. it reminds me of dudes who rap over shitty 808 beats, with pen & pixel album art and bad mixing, theres a charm to it that adds to the tracks rather than detracts. if i were really high and wanted to make a bad mixtape id just rap over these two beats like 20 times
but thiiisssssss is LIT. i like the contrast of your soft kinda effeminate voice singing lyrics like "i was an agent of the estranged ." your guitar playing is fantastic, and so are your arrangements. the strings are rad as shit
I love video games and their music so i started making this stuff. let me know what you guys think and how i can get better

Description:
"Welcome to Hotel Songs. Please, enjoy your stay. I have been delivered to relay information and guidelines pertaining to your album listening experience. Hotel Songs is not to be listened to loudly, or on headphones. It is instead recommended that you find a small, clean, and well lit room in which to take residence, and a set of speakers through which to play your copy of Hotel Songs. Enjoy the album at low volumes, and let your mind wander. Are you ready? Well then, let us commence Hotel Songs.
I'll see you three nights from now."
- Eric Taxxon
As we stumble into the charade of luxury that often comes with a hotel, we often find ourselves resting well in an odd state of ambiguity and vagueness. In his second effort for Jacob And Friends, Eric Taxxon brings an album that displays that faux luxury that often we absolve ourselves into, all viewed through a lens of lush and repetitive minimal techno, intending on delivering a cozy experience to the listener.
Now available for stream and download!
Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And give Eric some love. Thank You. :)
Will still be accepting submissions for the label.

Dave here
So I found a few odd versions of the songs on this, so I might be adding them to the album to make it longer. Since it's a film soundtrack I guess reusing a different version of a song won't be too boring.

awesome, glad you're enjoying it
Just bought it, very cool stuff. I'm into ambient/prog stuff nowadays and this fits perfectly.
well thanks for your support !
Album that me and my dad worked.
Honest opinions please!
Its quite a simple album with just guitars, vocals, and minor percussion instruments, but I think the songs are really solid. Its a mix of old school delta blues, Americana, blue grass, etc.
Very guitar driven stuff.
working on a much better album cover and really have to spruce it up in photoshop.

I used to post sad songs on here but i'm also doing stuff like this. Maybe someone'll recognize me
It's not supposed to be cringy weeb stuff, i was just thinking of making parody songs about it in the future and i think cute 2d girls in the covers may go well with my style.
Really enjoying these, keep the good work up:

I'll return all feedback, as usual.
I accidentally started playing this out loud, thinking my headphones were plugged in...got a weird look. Very cool noisy riffs, love the drumming, although it could maybe be mixed a tad lower.
I like that you hand drew your cover, but the words not being centered really triggers my autism. Nonetheless, I actually really like the sound of this, the guitar tones are wonderful. More engaging than most indiepop whatever.
Can't remember whether I gave feedback on this before or not. I liked the EP well enough, the samples are interesting, but I wish there was more variety.
The samples being reversed got a little irritating after a while. However, it's competently made hip hop stuff, not much to complain about. Third and fourth tracks were dope.
I love your guitar work, and the vocals are nice too. You sound like a god, how long have you been playing?
Nah.
I love this. It reminds me a lot of Big Black and Filter. The New Human is a fantastic track, as is The Vice of Lechery. However, find someone to make better cover art for you, that's easily the weakest link. And it's pretty weak.
I don't like this at all. Not my thing.
Really creative approach to surf music. Unique and powerful, love that reverb.
The weeb vocals annoyed me and it didn't remind me of a road trip at all. Then again, future funk isn't my thing. The beats were neat.
I liked Horizon II a lot. The drumming is great.
The bass lines are super funky and the drumming is tight. Very interesting jams that go a lot of different places.
thanks man! I just bought your album too, keep it up
and we should definitely do a show together again sometime in the future
Looks really good, might check it out later
Continuing from Reves is really interesting, especially knowing that you did everything in one take. You're a man of many talents.
I love this. Im a sucker for blues, and you hardly ever see any in BC threads. Plus the father son dynamic adds a bit of flair to it. Keep up the good work!
Quality vaporstuff, nothing too original but we'll made. Didn't care much for track one, liked tracks two and three the most.
I'm not exactly sure what's going on here. Sampled bass with drums? Can't say I enjoyed it very much, the dissonant basslines weren't very pleasant to listen to.
I really liked the album, until the piano opener ended. It's obviously well performed, but I'm not a fan of death core/metalcore and it just sort of sounds like everything else in the genre to me. If you're a fan of the genre, though, check this out.
Way too much going on, way too little synchronization...can't say I'm a fan. I like the idea of the diverse set of instruments, if you wrote the songs out instead of impoving them I'm sure some good would come from it.
Whilst browsing through bandcamp I found this...
Anyone wanna explain it..?
mine's really terrible, I just like making noise with a guitar

I make long blackened noise tracks, and some HNW and harsh noise as well. I'll be releasing a new single soon. Thanks for listening!
here,
thanks for listening it was a live set didn't have much to do with the mixing gonna have to ask the guitarists why
its from 2014 didn't have a meaning attributed back then but now it's a russian improvisational noise rock album about the darker aspects of early soviet union life which i think is a pretty cool thing to exist
here's a picture i took i think its dope

>shoegaze

this is awesome mate, just downloaded it
you missed
Didn't miss him, I gave him feedback in an earlier thread. It's well produced techno but it doesn't have any sort of engaging energy, in my opinion. If you like chill minimalist techno it's for you, it just doesn't appeal to me all that much.
I got in touch with that guy over a StarCraft II mod that fell through on the developers' ends (way too huge in scope to ever be realistically finished). His stuff in general is great, and he was wanting to get into doing soundtracks at the time.
IMO Encrypted is his best album. Really grimy feel to the whole thing.
