It had built since the over 2000 years ago. It's well known in Japan.
However the most of big ones were built in the Ming dynasty.

Wall didn't stop Mongols.
Mongols did end up conquering China.
However they got kicked out.
Later one rebellion from the south lead to a general letting manchus into china from the north in an attemp to save the king being killed by rebels. However king was beta and an heroed so Manchus ended up as emperors.
Manchus were smarter. They didn't give much fucks about the wall. Took their troops with Chinese troops. marched them into mongolia and conquered them.
TL;DR walls are stupid and only a short term deterrent that will eventually be broken. if you have a problem it's better to fix it at it's source.

no they don't, funny thing is the chinese build this wall with there own money, blood and bones but the wall couldn't stop the mongolians at all, later on the mongolians took over china. it will be the same with the usa, later on mexicans will also took over the usa, trump wall cannot stop this process at all.
