Which music (sub)genre is least diverse? Like in "I have heard one song, so I have heard them all"

pic unrelated

Trip hop. There's only 3 artists.

metal

shoegaze

Whatever style Nujabes did before he passed

grindcore
brostep
terrorstep
presetstep
anything on ukfstep

I want one :3

dub techno

you can cover the expanse of the genre by listening to basic channel

djent

Grindcore, deathcore and black metal.
A female vocalist could make the difference in a deathcore band. Doesn't mean that I don't like the genre, but I don't listen to 20 deathcore bands.

Rap music

what black metal do you even listen to when it's the most singularly diverse metal genre

Rock

Math rock
Third wave post-rock

I'm talking about pure black metal. I think the bands sound the same on every album.
I prefer post-black metal and atmospheric black metal. Or something like Alcest.

punk and indie

metal

stoner metal, and this is coming from someone who loves it

Hip Hop

wrong even then and I don't know what you mean by [pure black metal] but probably 2nd wave norwegian stuff. If you think hvis lyset and nightside eclipse sound the same you frankly need to listen better.

Oh yeah, I agree. It sucks that the genre has so little variety.

Kyuss is a big exception, they had a totally unique sound in the genre.

XDDDDDDDDDD
you're not funny fuck off
I don't even listen to metal but thats objectively wrong

>grindcore
not true

Whatever genre BMSR or tobacco is

Ok, so it seems like every single genre is the least unique one

Anything on edm channels like Monstercat

Still more varied than most rock and metal

Reggae

Lol

kill yourself

kpop

fuck off rockfags go listen to your irrelevant dad music

nice

grindcore
funk carioca
blackgaze
power electronics
harsh noise wall
witch house
drill
snap
hypy

love the genre but this
also blues, punk, and math rock

>35 posts
>no vaporwave

Nobody listens to vaporwave.

>hnw

reggaeton

plebs

fag

What if I listen to vaporwave

no you don't

oh ok thanks

...

But I do
Vaporwave

haha what a goofy duck
really wacky stuff my.friend.

post-rock

i was going to say this.

>a lot of random shitposts showing the vast knowledge and understanding of music the average Sup Forums browsers have.
>their favourite bands are probably derivative dribble

What type of dog is this?

DELET

>GY!BE
>swans
>slint
>talk talk
>sigur ros
>sounding the ""same""

I think it it a polar bear, but I might be wrong
Please dont quote me
Atmo-black metal

>fell for the bait
but
>uses the term post-rock seriously

This is a lie

actually of all the troll posts, this is one of the most accurate.
literally every single shoegaze album is trying to make the sounds captured on loveless or souvlaki. even the other fairly successful shoegazing bands kind of mix the two, take or add elements of both/either to a slightly derivative sound from other areas of rock.

There's a TON of derivative bands but that doesn't mean there isn't a lot of diversity in the genre. Look at the two bands that are considered the foundation of shoegaze: Cocteau Twins and The Jesus and Mary Chain.

They're pretty fucking different. One would send someone like my mom (ie, someone who can't stand anything remotely abrasive) out of the room plugging her ears but the other is pretty pleasant and palatable

Bowery Electric - Beat
Sweet Trip - V:D:C
The Angelic Process - Weighing Souls With Sand

YEAH LETS HEAR SOME BANGERS

Most EDM subgenres.

>The Angelic Process - Weighing Souls With Sand
>shoegaze

bandcamp lo fi

ska punk

crunkcore
also the worst genre in existence

pop punk

True

Andy Stott doesn't sound like basic channel though.

Brostep is probably the most accurate choice. Along with witch house lol.

Yup, I love Nujabes but can't listen to Ljones, Fat Jon, DJ Okawhatever
