Sheet music

How many of you can actually read sheet music

Just curious

read? sure

play it at the same time with ease? I need more practice

I took high school band so it isn't that difficult.

I studied it when I was in middle school chorus for one year.

I used to play violin in an orchestra, so yeah

I'm a composer

Once you learn the basics reading sheet music is pretty simple. also where is that pic from?

I can but not that well.
I'm a drummer so I have an excuse I guess. I'm better with reading rhythms than actual notes

I was in choir for a couple of years towards the end of high school, and it was something that was required. Now that I'm out of school, my skills have atrophied.

Majoring in music education, so I'm pretty fluent.

Is this supposed to be a play on David Bowie being a fag?

The Venture Bros, it's an excellent show. Foetus does the soundtrack for it.

I read a lot of sheet music
Different brands, different styles

I can "translate" with some time and a pencil, but I can't read at human speed.

I played flute through highschool so yeah.

Do I really read it anymore, not really.

self taught

No idea I'm just a huge Bowie fan so I have it saved

Been playing violin for 10 years so damn good at treble but it takes me a lil bit for base

this

Played recorder one year so no

Plan on learning it whenever I feel comfortable enough to do it. Currently learning the basics of music theory and want to learn a lot more before I dive into sheet music even though that's probably the opposite of what I should do.

I can read it decently but I just really don't give a fuck since I play guitar, bass, and vocals - all of which are easily tabbed out. When I played piano for a few years, yea it helped reading it but it really doesn't matter.

>In before Muh Tom Morello learned it

I can read both treble and bass clef, but not at the same time.

I play handbells.

Pianist/bassist here. Can sight-read pretty well. I've been playing for a while, and I have a lot of time to practice.
