I'm sorry just getting into the genre
...
...
you should get in on /blindfold/ threads m8
I'm on it sir
The Ark Work = your top 3 in one package
I don't know what that implies but ok
He means The Art Work sounds like a combination of your top 3 bands
predictable core?
...
I guess that's cool cause I like that album
...
You know, one thing that bugs me a little bit about making "favorite album" lists is that there's a lot of great music that just doesn't fit into "solid cohesive album" format. Like most fifties music or field recordings of folk music, stuff like that. Anyone else know what I mean?
Those are for other threads. I think this is more "your favourite albums" and less "your favourite music".
Also compilations are a thing. For both fifties music and traditional folk. My chart's got a couple of them.
Yeah if I was gonna do this again I'd include more compilations. My intention was to avoid going into "Greatest Hits" territory but who cares really
The bottom's pretty chaotic but the rest gets more ordered as it goes up
Robert Glasper & Miles Davis - Everything's Beatiful
Boudewijn de Groot - Picknick
Harakiri for the Sky - Aokigahara
Steorrah - II: Thin White Paint
4/3 de Trio - Ersatz

Too many meme albums on here though
You've probably already heard of most of these, but here's some reccs:
The xx - xx
Portishead - Portishead
Slowdive - Pygmalion
Massive Attack - Mezzanine
Brightblack Morning Light - S/T
The Microphones - Mount Eerie
Hash Jar Tempo - Well Oiled
Slowdive - Just For A Day

Candy Claws - Ceres and Calypso in Deep Time
No reccs, but if you've got anything like stratosphere, please, please let me know
reminds me of me when i first came here in a good way
I don't think you should discredit them just because they are memes
how?
I've listened to all 4 in your top 4 in the past 24 hours
A-are you… me?
Not op but I'm a smile freak
I taught myself to play almost every major recording from those days, and I've listened to good vibrations well over 800 times
Greatest hits comps are usually a different beast entirely. Generally any artist that has "hits" should be releasing on album format anyway.
But traditional folk and pre-album stuff? That's perfectly fine.
True
planning for burial - leaving
