Hi Sup Forums, what are some some good japanese artists/albums? Doesn't have to be patrician, just subjectively good or fun. Rock prefered, but I'm open for anything.
I like pic related for example

Japan is a country, not a genre. You should ask for more nu-metal-sounding rock music like Maximum the Hormone, of which there is maybe Molotov but not much else.
d_su noto
Well I'm not looking for a specific genre, just music that originates from japan. Gonna check out Molotov though.
I can't find shit on this
Yeah that's like asking for music that originates from England. The japanese music market is large and diverse, you can't just ask for "japanese music" and expect to get a consistent answer ,or not compartmentalize discussion that could happen in many threads simultaneously.
I didn't expect my question to be so... difficult. If anyone has music by a japanese artist, no matter what genre or time it was released, just share it. If you like it post it.
Toe
Yeah that's dumb. If I want to discuss new wave I'll make a new wave thread; if I want to post strange lady folk rock I'd make a strange lady folk rock thread. The only reason to make these kinds of threads is if you know only a few albums from the target country.
>Haruomi Hosono
>Yellow Magic Orchestra
>Miharu Koshi
Nice, got anything similar with vocals?
Sorry that my thread offends you, next time I make a thread I make sure that it's a grimes/björk/radiohead/kpop/NMH/mucore -thread
Oh shit Hosono sounds great
