give me your most brutal feedback.
Wops forgot to give you my opinion.
I enjoy the combination and experimentaiton between the genres (DnB and metal), but to me it kind of sounds like the type of music that would play while I am playing Doom (which is what I think you are going towards), but if you want it to pop out more, I would maby add a lead guitar that plays some riffs/ solo over the song, I really enjoyed it tho, good job!

Feedback on SC

Kinda reminds me of Jeff Buckley. Not a bad sound, though.
Has a retro, but luxurious funk feel to it.
Like the stright-ahead grit and stoner feel of this stuff. Reminiscent of Black Sabbath for sure.
Your music IS kinda out there, but also still has some harmonic and rhythmic familiarity. Trippy

RECCS:
gawd damn, the intrumental part is very good. I love the bluesy feel. I don't get the vocals. Maybe you tried to stand out with them but I don't think it's that good of a suit. Try something oldschool.
One of the best beatmakers I've seen here
Very soothing, think about putting some vocals on your tracks
chill and simple, I like some genuine acoustic pop. I only wish it would be better quality

Anybody else get a drop in quality after they upload?
My songs lose a lot of bit depth and get pretty distorted.
I upload .wav and master like any normal human being would. They sound great before soundcloud gets ahold of them.
soundcloud.com
Tracks 2 and 4 are the best i think. Everything was written, and produced by me except a few lines in "Down the Road"
haven't really noticed.
i upload the raw 48khz 24 bit wav files and don't hear much difference after SC

Recs:
revs of boys ive never listened to before:
I like the vibes on Girl across the hall. synth work is great (i assume these arent samples, lol). Really detailed and just overall sounds great, man
snare doesnt really work imo. Like it seems very very edm-y, which I assume isn't what you're going for
mix seems a little messy on "come to think of it". or maybe the elements don't come together as nicely as you'd want. However, I really like hydra. Like, a lot more than ComeToThinkOfIt. great work on that track.
>Black metal tributes to dead animals
>Not particularly grim
>Some dungeon synth style crappy instrumentation
Recs and comments:
Genuinely great. I disagree with the comments about the vocals, I think it fits with everything else being a bit off-kilter.
It's really refreshing to see something with those tags that isn't just using the guise of a straight genre piece to get away with mediocrity. Every track tells its own story.
Great cohesive sound and the subtle use of the organ is really well done
Yeah, it sounds like a late 90s video game soundtrack. In the best possible way though. Trent would be proud. Probably.
Feels more like a mash of ideas than a finished product, but would be interested in seeing where you take this

Working on my sound, some kind of acoustic.
>sample based beats
Yeah I got that. They convert to shit quality, they cut >16kh.
But I've noticed after putting hard work into mastering, when I throw them in the grinder they still sound bad in comparison to others.
Was hoping maybe there was a fix I didn't know, yalls productions are sounding pretty dank.
Could you elaborate on your mastering process, your levels, limiting, eq? Maybe you're clipping, do you leave headroom?
