Zomby said in 2013 or earlier that jungle is gonna be the next big thing in 3 years. It's obviously not the case, people still go apeshit over braindead big room EDM. Predictions at this point are worthless, anything could happen. 30 years ago glam metal was topping the charts.
Rudimental got a lot of airplay
Welcome to 3 years ago
That was DnB, famalam
Machinedrum already made footwork/juke as poppy as it can get. If that didn't get mainstream attention it never will.
Footwork is already dead. Dance will never be big in the US.
>machinedrum
are you from the year 2011
you mean jlin with his bastardized "juke" is as poppy as it gets
footwork died with rashad, get over it
what's ur fav track, mate
>his
footwork, jit and juke has been dead since about 2008 you pleb
lmao i realized i said his as soon as i sent it oops
uhh
What is some recommended juke other than Double Cup? I really like tracks like Feelin' but other juke albums and even other songs on double cup are just annoying loops of words like "Smoke Weed LMAO" or "fuck dat bitch" over simple 808s. Every other teklife album I heard falls into this terrible pattern.
Is juke just shit or am I missing out on some good album.
just a taste is best rashad
most stuff on ghettophiles is top
ghettophiles = juke, as far as i'm concerned
if you hate looped phrases, i don't think footwork/juke is for you
teklife vol 1 is best rashad
>teklife vol 1 is best rashad
you sound like you;ve heard about juke from wire
footwork isn't dead, it has a all new scene now
what?
just a taste is great too but teklife vol 1 is one of the best & consistent footwork LPs out there
it's almost pop music compared to what's on just a taste
yea but it will never be a 'thing'
its just some weird tiny subculture of horrible spastic music and always will be
pretty much
youtube.com
the top yt comment completes it
> live in Chicago
> footwork scene is a shadow of its former self
> literally been making the same song for the last two years
> most good producers are from Japan and Germany now
Its been fun boys
you're right, its probably rashad's easiest release to get into besides double cup. just a taste is a classic in its own right but imo served more as a blueprint for his later stuff
go crazy & ghost are two of my fav juke tracks of all time
great great stuff
>are you from the year 2011
That was my point you fucking retard. If it didn't go mainstream then, it's not going to.
I live in chicago too. Is there even a footwork scene at all anymore?
rashad
>most good producers are from Japan and Germany now
all of those dudes basically suck though
especially the fucking bandcamp asians adding weak ass chimes and flutes to d grade teklife cuts
mark fell's nerd """footwork""" is good, dj earl's album was nice
lol no, if anything it would have when it was on a video game that sold millions of copies. machinedrum was never even close to breaking into the mainstream in 2011
but you said "as poppy as it can get". which isn't true and hasn't been for a long time. so whats your point again?
Dj Orange Julius needs to do a better job saving the genre
?
>Sup Forums only just discovers footwork
D'AWWWWWWW YOU'RE ALL SO FUCKING CLUELESS AND ADORABLE :3
dnb is a strict subset of jungle
bitches dont know about my vtgnike
youtu.be
lol this is fucking terrible, please stop pretending you're able to enjoy anything other than death grips, thanks
Borschtwork
death grips isn't made by authentic black people from chicago either
shut up
why u mad honky?
"ha"
>Dance will never be big in the US.
wew
I remember seeing a thread just like this about 5 years ago. I remember because I scrolled past that album I downloaded for years. Couldn't get into it.
It's for the dance floor, you're not supposed to actually listen to it
>It's for the indie rock floor, you're not supposed to actually listen to it
>It's for the hip hop floor, you're not supposed to actually listen to it
