2016 hasn't had any music that's either interesting, unique, or flat out good. last real scene was meme-tastic vaporwave and thats already been around for 3-5 years and is pretty much dead now. is music dead?
2016 RIP music

The Trump pic gave away your bait, friendo. Next time try being more subtle.
Regardless I actually agree with your sentiment, 2016 has been a shit year for music so far. Fuck Blackstar. Fuck all the meme Hip-Hop.
not even baiting its just the truth. im genuinely unhappy with all the trash this year
Also agreed. Most big Sup Forumscore releases have been dissapointments and even outside that area, this year hasn't been that good. Only albums I would describe as great right now are Xiu Xiu's new album and Xenia Rubino's Black Terry Cat which is basically Lemonade but 4x better.
Yeah. everything that could have been done has already been thought of
Stop listening to only memes.
Try Trumpwave
Roly Porter and The Field both put out very solid albums this year if you're into electronic. 8/10s easily in my book. Otherwise yeah I've been disappointed with most of the new releases.
I agree, but at the same time I havn't even heard any older genre's done well..
any suggestions?
...
not too bad roly porter one is interesting
Roly Porter falls off a little at the end in my opinion but the sound of 4101 is fuckin' massive. Mass is a good one too.
Pink Sun by The Field might be my song of the year so far, but the second half of Reflecting Lights gets me feels every time.
I dunno
Frank Ocean's new stuff was pretty interesting even for a mid-decent album
that's why mu is dying and kpg is thriving
this shit is barely one step above that copypasta pining for when real punk like new found glory was appreciated
>thriving
>40 posters
>relatively small amount of time has passed since new scene has made a breakthrough
>HURR DURR MUSIC IS DEAD
Dumb frogposter
its been like 4 years though
unless you count idk djent or something
Sorry someone pls explain Sup Forums to me. You all seem to like classic types of music to be and pop do you dislike rap? I like uk rap and grime not grimes
Band called northlane. Pretty boss
popular music has barely been relevant since the 70s
