Very interesting story behind all this. The guitar playing and vocals are pretty comfy. I'd be pretty curious to here something a bit more hi-fi with more instruments.

That's the last thing I do care about when I'm making stuff
my bands YT has about 11,000 views or more per video and we've played a few shows and got some money. it really depends on what you define as "making it".

This has a great, night-driving type vibe, though I'm usually not so into the chiptune type stuff. But I have a bunch of friends who are, so I'll be sure to show it to them!
All the silence makes this new EP is really intense. The drones on the louder parts are really nicely textured.
This is just amazing. I knew I would like it from the description and it delivers.

Description:
"Welcome to Hotel Songs. Please, enjoy your stay. I have been delivered to relay information and guidelines pertaining to your album listening experience. Hotel Songs is not to be listened to loudly, or on headphones. It is instead recommended that you find a small, clean, and well lit room in which to take residence, and a set of speakers through which to play your copy of Hotel Songs. Enjoy the album at low volumes, and let your mind wander. Are you ready? Well then, let us commence Hotel Songs.
I'll see you three nights from now."
- Eric Taxxon
As we stumble into the charade of luxury that often comes with a hotel, we often find ourselves resting well in an odd state of ambiguity and vagueness. In his second effort for Jacob And Friends, Eric Taxxon brings an album that displays that faux luxury that often we absolve ourselves into, all viewed through a lens of lush and repetitive minimal techno, intending on delivering a cozy experience to the listener.
Now available for stream and download!
Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And give Eric some love. Thank You. :)
Will still be accepting submissions for the label.

Dang, I'm gonna have to come back to this. There's a certain eeriness to it, maybe because of the backstory. Your influences shine through in the best way possible too. Keep at it. I'm still only on the first song and it's cozy and catchy.
I don't know what the hell is going on here but the second track is dope.
It's a style that you see a lot of in these threads but I think yours stand out to a certain degree. Always strive for more unpredictability though. Of course.
I think I'd like this a little better if it sounded warmer. Some of the instruments have that "fake" tint to them. Lovely album art though.

No, there is only pain where we are going
Aww f a m I love desa
Your stuff is cool, the production style reminds me quite a bit of the new AJJ record. Also I've always wanted to use bible verses as lyrics. One time I used a Bukowski Poem as lyrics but that's about it.
Also, to get the sounds at the beginning of luma did you use a reverse delay and turn the delay time really low? Because I have a reverse delay pedal and I've used it for similar things before.
This is very sexy music. So sexy that I'm going to have to ask you to put a parental advisory sticker on.
Great production dude, as always, this will no doubt resonate with the many fans of alt-rock and country out there
You know, I've never been a fan of AJJ's music but I've heard they've changed up their style since the new name change so I'm hoping I'll enjoy it
Either way, I really am glad you like the album.
Dude, I actually just slowed the tempo on a piano chord to an extreme but I've been looking for ways to recreate this sound for live performances so that info actually helps a lot
Would have been more than happy to use a pedal of some sort (someone once mentioned the earthquake pedal would do a similar effect) but at the time I had no money to invest in that stuff
I use a Hotone delay, they're real cheap and small.
Thanks for the tip, user

pretty neat stuff here my dude, chill af
holy shit i love this bro, impressive, no lie.
How often do you guys listen to your own music, if at all?
Every day
If you're not your own biggest fan then something's wrong
At the very least I'm hoping that everyone is attempting to make the music they wish existed
S A M E
Okay so I've taken a keen interest in Delroy Edwards this year for his involvement in outsider house (mostly the production and intentional low-quality)
Though it's much less sample heavy (I'm assuming) I think you have something unique going for you that I don't always encounter with EDM artists. I don't know the electronic scene well enough to put it well but I just can tell there's something different at play.
I'll have to see how this album evolves over time, if at all, but I'm interested to see if you'll incorporate samples at all
Yep. I make my music pretty much for this reason.

sorry to seance ya
occasionally i hear a song from my ep and its just pure ear bleach
but i actually feel like listening to the songs on my new album, i love them
>attempting to make the music they wish existed
this, why bother making rap beats or generic ambient/drone/noise music [no offense if you enjoy making this stuff lol] when you could be making something unique and never seen before, like christian folk infused with noise?
My band's latest album, Paralimina. We've been compared to post rock bands, electronic bands, video game music, etc. The album covers a lot of different styles. All instrumental. It's also available on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. Heavily inspired by a close friend who suffered from schizophrenia.
Can you spoil the album for us by giving a few info out then?
Like, what's the longest song clock in at?
And leak when
I'm not heavy on samples, I try to avoid them because it breaks the type of independent style that I'm trying to achieve. Tbh, I'm not even sure what that would be. Not saying I'm trying to pioneer an entire subgenre or fusion, but I'm definitely not trying to do what's already been done. But thanks for the comment dude, and thanks for listening
I'm just glad to hear this is just a prequel
Will stay tuned to hear what else you'll bring to the table

TRANSIENT LIFE IS FUCKING GREAT, I WOULD GO HARD AT YOUR SHOWS!
new album when!!!!!!!!!!!
why no one reccs this?
so good
>Can you spoil the album for us by giving a few info out then?
ok
theres gonna be a violin bit played by Dear Laika
the last song left to complete is only missing one viola bit that i need to record. that song has been a work in progress since before i released my first ep and has gone an insane transformation from 6-7 months ago to now.
there isnt really an overall arc or theme, im not good on those. i just make whatever comes out of me and thats what i go with.
