i think that 12-6 elbow rule is one of the murkier rules ones out there. yeah, i think they're basically 12-6, but i've seen refs them not call them as well as call them. i like that they're allowed because it's a good weapon against the prolonged takedown wrestlers love going for and if strikers didn't have it, then there'd be even more lay in pray following the limited arsenal against take downs. however, i think they can be brutal, as seen in the Brown v Barnett and Struve v Bigfoot.
