So, Stingray 5, Ampeg Svt pro 3, and a 610hlf.

Looking into pedals and maybe a preamp next.

Suggestions?

Sure am, m8. Wot of it.

aside from the bass not being loud enough (I don't really like the tone either, but that's more of an opinion) for a bass cover, that's pretty good, was that supposed to be a jab at him ?

The bass fucking vanished in post. :/ Thanks tho.

>spend last year alternating between mandolin and bass while my strat sits in the corner
>become very accustomed to routine, to the fretboard of both instruments
>finally pick up the guitar for the first time in 16 months today
>mfw when the scale length feels simultaneously way too long and way too short

also the strings are too loose, mandolin and bass both require some actual force to depress the strings, the electric guitar is nonsense with this super low action and floppy bendable strings, it's madness. All of you are zonked.

>bass cover
>aside from the bass not being loud enough
lol

I need help with preserving my guitars.

whats the best Digital Hygrometer and Guitar Humidifier ?

been looking at these despite some bad reviews

bonus question, am I being stupid to worry / a colossal faggot?

mm i build my own guitars with titanium strings to play bluegrass on. but it's only in free time

just bring the original track down a few dBs and cut the frequencies you're occupying, that should do the trick.

swap the strings for a thicker set. I don't understand why 9-42 and smaller is a thing

if you're doing a cover, you need to put your track louder than the original, that's a basic necessity

Will try messing with it and re-uploading. Thx

Oh shit another box

orange micro head ?

> YOU guys are dumb
Holy fuck, you're an idiot. Listen to how stupid you sound applied to wind instruments.
> last year i switched between my piccalo and my tuba, while my trumpet sat in the corner. When i picked it up again it felt heavier and lighter at the same time, and the keys were different. Trumpet players are zonked.

Snazzy magnetic lid

Nah, that would be sweet though

Alright lads give me some good free apps for my iphone that'll help me with my playing

>inb4 "free" and "good" - pick one

And the money shot

I fucking hate when faggots do this. Fuck you, faggot.

thanks for all the (You)'s friend

Nice band, dude! Look at you all the way over there on the left playing that red P-bass!

Smartchord is neat. Gots a tuner and a metronome. Chord maker, scales. Bunch of other shit. Some pay add ons but u dont need to buy them, there's also free add ons.

nobody plays woodwinds after highschool you remedial marching band fag

Oh neat, I'm considering one but the B7K looks really nifty too with all its possibilities. Mostly looking to get either of those two for that grunty metal bass tone.

I'm not your friend. No one is. Remember to put your toy back on the box, it's gonna get all dusty sitting on your floor not being used. Like all your other gear.

Yeah lol thats my baby

You like birds too, huh?

Excluding NOS, probably JJs. Warmth and clarity isn't take an 84s strength though.

Nobody compares 3 different instruments and gets surprised they're different, then calls other people "zonked" for playing 1 of the 3. It was an example of how stupid you sound. Should i have used pizza toppings or something? And how fucking surprising it would be to eat the same 2 for a year, then get all surprised a different one was different, and call everyone that likes that zonked? Does that make you sound less stupid?

I really liked the B7K I tried out but I didn't really need all the tone control, just the overdrive.

>implying I have gear
two cheapo basses and a compressor
not pictured is an ampeg 410 and 118 with a Kustom head

>a
Im just being a prick, dude. Sorry.

yep eym fraid so

Nah man it's chill. What was your most recent cop if you don't mind me asking?

Ah, guess I'll save up for the B7K then, but it kinda annoys me to spend as much on a pedal as I would on an amp or a bass.

The new B7K Ultra is, what, $400 now? It's a hell of an investment but the payoff is awesome. I was tucking away cash for a couple weeks to reach $250 for the B3K.

Its a jarring experience to pick up a guitar and have it feel so foreign, because it was the instrument I first started with 10 years ago. And all that muscle memory was still there just lying dormant for an extended time. Its like reconnecting with a part of your brain you lost contact with. It's fucking weird, even though intellectually I know a guitar feels different from the instruments I've been getting used to, that doesn't make it any less strange to actually hold it and play it. Not anything like pizza toppings really (do you have a large part of your fine motor cortex wired up to eat pizza?) But thanks for being so insistent that I'm stupid.

A crybaby.
> holy shit..., the irony of my last 3 posts..

YOU'RE zonked

Trained em for awhile, yeah. Easy job.

kek at that irony dude.
Crybabys are cool shit though. Run a delay, chorus, and reverb after it and you can get some awesome space noises.

Yeah probably. I mean the original reason I moved from guitar from mandolin was because I was frustrated with the guitar scale length and I wanted to be able to span a perfect fifth between index finger and pinkie. But then a year later I picked up the bass and found I liked it a lot even though the scale length is even longer. So none of my shit makes sense obviously.

I stand by my point about the low action / loose strings though. I feel less hooked up with the instrument, there's not enough tactile feedback from what my fingertips are doing. I should get a tenor guitar.

yeah I'm looking at the ultra and it just seems insane, I'd probably use it on guitar too because the EQ looks nifty. Might as well just buy it and send it directly into the PA until I get an amp

Those were dark times for me. I'm over it now.

You're only fueling their autism.

I'm having fun with it

Yeah, I just bet you are.

I started learning guitar for about a month now and I'm wondering how many hours a week I should practice?

>he doesn't play stone picks

Shig

anyone have experience in DIY distortion pedals?

is diode clipping really all there is to it?

Tell me how retarded I am for spending 100 bucks on a pickguard.

>takes great pains to keep his face off of his youtube videos

>b-but hes having fun with it
your gay ass even went out and got a doge meme dog

As many as you still have fun

how many would be acceptable for a busy collegefag

>he plays bass fingerstyle

Is there anything more pleb than a Fender Strat plugged into a Marshall Stack?

50

Yeah, a fa/gg/ot posting in a /gg/ thread.

Honestly if a bassist doesn't play both finger style and pick he is half a bassist

With a few exceptions like Chris Squire, most pick bassist are noobs

Picks in general are for noobs actually, also on guitar. Guitar is fucking easy with a pick, if you want to be good learn fingerstyle

>he doesn't play guitars built by Venezuelan crackheads
>he doesn't play Hindu dronegrass
>he doesn't have goat vocal chords for strings
>he doesn't use bones for picks
top pleb

You know it m8

terrible meme pedal

Well, someone on /gg/ bought it after all

Also I am literally on /gg/ right now

What are you doing on Sup Forums Eric?

>Guitar is fucking easy with a pick, if you want to be good learn fingerstyle
i tip my fedora to you good sir

I'm looking for Ethan.

Got bored of Sup Forums. Looking for a preamp but people aren't helping. Whatev.

Alright guys, I have a shitty amp and a fender strat and a cheap tremolo pedal. What other pedals do I need to get that skramz/emo guitar tone? I'm looking for something similar to Old Gray

Here I am! (^ Q ^)/

I like d'adarrio humidipaks. It automatically adds or removes moisture.A hygrometer is kind of overkill imo.

daddario.com/pwProductDetail.Page?ActiveID=4115&productid=523&sid=77652dcb-31b9-46e5-bb46-7c9fd447d744

Oh hello! (^o^)/

it may be neckbeardy but it's true, guitar with a pick is just not that challenging

fingers are better for instrumental, slower and undistorted songs, picks are better for sanic fast speed

it's not like one rules out learning the other, you should know to use both

I'll help you Eric!

Thanks Yui

post rare erics

That's like 2012 bro
