I speak one

When you speak slow and clear tonal languages are beautiful and melodic

But when you try to speak fast it sounds like chicken talk

Does it sound chicken to you?

什麼事 Ɛ:

Are tonal languages capable of producing a spelling alphabet?

沒什麼特別,只是因為我喜歡台灣所以我想要跟你說嗨
Sup Forums的台灣人很少
你剛剛起床還是還沒睡覺?

哇。 晚上好。

Albanian is a tonal language and it pretty much has every letter other languages use in its alphabet, it really helps you out when you want to learn another language.

>tonal
For real, you mean tonal like chinese, or are you trying to tell me it hes melodic accents?

你好
你今天做了什麼?

>languages that use the Roman alphabet instead of an original one

Definitely not like Chinese, a lot of the words take different meanings based on how you say them, Serbo-Croatian is also tonal.

学习。你呢?

It would've been kool if we still used runes, a shame they were replased with latin letters even though it was a part of getting writing, but if they were more aware of their old kulture maybe they'd've tried to keep their old letters instead just to be unique.

And now try a fast spoken convo.

>guttural r

>languages where word pronunciation isn't exactly like the letter pronunciation in the alphabet

haha those cant possibly exist can they? Like, imagine if the word "apple" read like "eipl" instead of "ei pi pi el ee", sounds fucking retarded doesn't it haha who would even make such arbitrary rules for their language haha

我睡了太久了。。。 睡眠障礙

that's not what tonal is

you mean stressing a different syllable changes the word

Chinese has 4 different ways you can pronounce every single syllable.

Cad iad d'fhadhbanna leis?

I agree. Imo Latin alphabet should just be for romance languages

>current year
>his """"""""alphabet""""""""" doesnt have exclusive letters

Σkύλα

Really? I thought German was a tonal language as well, guess I'm dumb as fuck then.

Why you have to hurt me like that ;-;

>his language's verbs don't express evidentiality

>his language isn't being forced upon others so they have to learn it
haha, it's not feasible to concoct such things!

Yeah, totally

不错

>his written language doesn't have accent marks
háháháhá

Sorry, no offence. Just random greek word. :)

ôlôlôlôlèlèlèlèlèlè

Isn't accent marks just a sign that you have no alphabet of your own so you had to take someone elses that wasn't made for your language so you have to add the accent marks to make up for the flaws

yet ironically the written language of the tonal language did not indicate tone...

...and in the case of Chinese, the original form of the written language was made at a time when Chinese did not have tone yet.
