>Nietszche/Camus
>as in Camus is anywhere near Nietszche
And here I thought Robert Smith just really wanted to remove kebab.
are you the same faggot that posted the blog post on R9K
>nihilism
>Nietzsche
he'd be rolling in his grave
Camus and Nietzsche didn't see nihilism as an endpoint, they saw it as something to be overcome.
okay, then overcome it by realizing it's a meme
job done!
Listen to comus. because camus
hehehe
>Just got into Nihilism and Nietschze/Camus
made me chuckle
good job
>Camus
>Existentialist
wew
go to /lit/ fag
George Bataille is pretty neat
This.
Nihilism is the fundamental truth of the universe. Succumbing to it shows weakness in the face of reality.
Vaporwave is about hypercapitalism and our meaningless consumerist existence bro
Yeah gotta jet see u in philosophy my dude
Come back after you've read Heidegger.
Camus is an absurdist not an existentialist fambruh
>this thread
Ahh, I remember high school.
Have you started wearing Doc Martens and skipping class yet, faggot?
Listen to whatever you want because it doesn't matter anyway
Nihilism is the most selfish and juvenile way of thinking
How so?
No, it's not.
I'm technically speaking a nihilist (atheist who believes life is meaningless) but if you call yourself a nihilist then you're 100% a faggot. Life having no meaning doesn't mean you have to smoke cigarettes in the girls' bathroom and listen to Joy Division all day. I enjoy a robust life and often wear bright colors.

>Nihilism
>Nietzsche
I don't think you know what you're talking about, user. Neitzsche repudiated everything about nihilism, he saw it as decadence and degeneracy. Nietzsche's philosophy was life affirming. See Twilight of the Idols and the Gay Science.
This.
Meaninglessness is the natural state it's liberating.
It's silly to not want to accurately name the philosophical doctrine you subscribe to because you're afraid to be associated with a few tryhards who co-opted it.

I wouldn't say that I deny being a "nihilist" but I certainly don't identify by it.
>makes no distinctions between the positions of people he is reading
no wonder philosophers all end up saying the same thing!
you spelled Nietzsche wrong so probably you are trolling, but just for public service Nietzsche and Camus literally disagree about everything that matters and neither is a nihilist
I don't think many people do, in actuality. It's a very loud minority - for most people it's a just a fundamental truth, not a lifestyle choice. Believing that life has no intrinsic meaning has no bearing on my personality or manner.
serious question for all the people trying to stake out moderate positions where "I am not a nihilist per se but I don't think life has intrinsic meaning":
what kind of meaning are you saying life doesn't have? can you give an example of a view where life does have meaning, and say what that meaning would be?
i want to believe that this is bait
