Any tone savvy anons wanna comment on my tone? This is my first time recording myself and would like some feedback. Chorus needs drums still and i didnt trim the ending. Soundcloud.com/quest2112/idea

Can't listen at work but tone is very personal and subjective. If you like it then keep using it.

It sounds simulated. I'm not sure if it is or not, but if it is you should find a better one.

>this is bad advice. i've ruined neighbor's lives before for being loud and obnoxious.

pls elaborate user-kun

Whats a good basic interface that I can get just for some recording and using VSTs?

Self taught guitarist/bassist of 8 years
Fav guitar is 1967 gibson flying v

my project where i write/play Rythem where theres 2 guitars used and lead where there is 1. our style is black metal orientated. i record and produce the songs as well where i achieve an authentic live sound full of shitty quality to enhance the sound.

I wish I were levar burton

The Guitar i Play

Find a better simulation? Can you elaborate?

...

Quit shilling your shit m8s. You're supposed to be using Clyp It.

>shilling a tone demo
Yup, imma make millions off that one..

>black metal orientated
>flying v

lmao

Waste of a good guitar.

Go burn a church or something, that soundcloud isn't gonna make you kvlt and trve.

You're shilling your SoundCloud actually.

i don't get it, and i also don't see what you write oir play......

This isn't /prod/, guy. "Projects" is part of the OP and has been for years. And people actually used to share their projects a lot more often here

Sup Forums is an English-based website and as such it is expect that its userbase is able to form coherent sentences and use proper syntax.

Thanks for your time, please update us on the current state of your 3rd world country any time!

i answered questions that're on the forum.
im keen to talk about the subject but use are keen to just bag what i do so alright then.

There's nothing wrong with sharing your projects. Just use Clyp It because it's anonymous. If you want to shill your soundcloud, go to a soundcloud thread.

It's got that demo and that's it. Chill the fuck out. I had never heard of clyp it before

Your demo sounds like shit and your mother would like her trash cans back when you're done recording 'drums' with them.

Burn your gear, at least it'll keep you warm for a bit.

I didn't write this. I didn't even listen to your demo because it wasn't posted on the proper site.

...

It's not a great tone or anything, but it could work well enough in a mix with bass and properly mixed drum sample. The lead guitar sounds a little wonky, like you're rolling off your tone knob too much. And the low notes in the lead are coming out louder and flubby, but you can fix that easily enough with compression

Cool. K, ill work on that later. Thanks famalam

I've been playing a little over month. This was recorded a week or so ago. I'm aware I fuck up a tiny bit and that I get a bit fast towards the end. Any feedback would be appreciated, hope you don't all hate my voice :)

clyp.it/goalkwl4

Anyone play slack-key guitar here? I've just started learning and it's really fun, was wondering what pieces you guys enjoy playing.

Pretty good. You seem to bit just slightly off on the lower notes, such as the "ed" in "headed". Try to do some vocal warmups that deal with the low register to make those larger jumps a little more comfortable.

youtu.be/Q5hS7eukUbQ

Going out to buy the prs. It had crackly pots so its down to 130 bucks. Will report back with how it sounds through my poorfag amp

I play open tunings, I've never particularly gone after Hawaiian slack key stuff. It's kinda rigid, not really my thing.

yeah, it's not for everyone. It's just a fun style for me I guess.

dude please don't bait in /gg/ threads, the tards here will gobble as much as you can drop in the water

Hi /gg/

...

You do that yourself or is it just on old handwired combo?

lets do this

Over a mile of fretwire!

deeper down the rabbit hole

What the hell is that? It looks like someone took and 7 string guitar and 5 string bass and forced them together

'round these parts we call 'em meemachines

I'm just a trill, I only do shit like this for shits and giggles. You just have to beat me to the OP, that's all.

image

It's a re-capped 62 ampeg m12. Sounds cool.

the tube depot is such a rip off

Indeed. I usually get them from cedist, but it had those in there.

does anyone have that samples website that used to be in the OP for getting simulated amps?

...

what the hell should I use instead of a rocksmith cable for my guitar? I'm running a rocksmith cable to my computer while using Guitar Rig 5, and im noticing a small delay.

Any help?

Invest in an actual interface

got some examples?

Scarlett 2i2, Fast Track Duo, Presonus Audiobox

Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 is also good from what I hear

Its pretty great, definetly a good complement to my strat. 22 frets is nice, the crackles are very small, i have to get used to the thick neck. Pickups are good, powered by lace. Got the jazzy neck sound, and the bridge is very trebly (i am more than okay with that).
10/10
Good 130 dollar guitar

Someone should tell him that isn't how you do 12 strings.

what should they tell this guy?

...

That is literally a zither

What's a good beginner acoustic bros?

Anything comfortable. I started on a 100 nylon string

>100 string nylon guitar when

close enough?

hAHA why live at all my man

>tfw fingertip dimples

Thanks a lot. Now I have to shit.

This just looks dangerous

vocaroo.com/i/s00AYrxCn8MQ

are you even trying?

I love the sound of minor 7th chords, but I don't know how to incorporate them into anything. what do i do

Try using them in place of the ii, the iii, and the vi in any key.

thanks user, i'll try it out

...

I'll prob get shit for this but pull off the knob and put a few drops of wd-40 between the shaft and the pot, or if there's a little hole in the back. Turn the knob back and forth a bunch. The crackle will be gone. The reason some might say it's bad to do is wd40 attracts dust apparently and it will start crackling again. But it crackles now, so... Also I've done this a bunch of times on different shit and it works fine. It starts crackling again just do it again. They make a specific cleaner too, it's like $13 a can. It's essentially wd40 without the oil, which is what people say collects dust.

Ill consider this. I was just gonna get the cleaner

The cleaner will definitely be better. But i had the wd40 already and did it out of frustration the first time after i read a few things about it. Honestly anything I've done it to has never needed a re-application of it. I've used it on pedals, an amp, guitar... the amp was fucked up. I took it apart looking for blown capacitors. It made horrific buzzing, screeching noise after it was on for like 10 mins. 1 channel's volume, and the onboard effects pots were dirty.

How do I set up FL Studio to use this puppy to record my guitar?

Is this tube burnt out? I have an amp that keeps blowing fuses and I think it's the tube rectifier

Fuck forgot pic

I bought this for $120 today. It needs a lot of work.

why is everybody in /gg/ always new

do you think they look at each other like that in the shower

All the normals left because of one dude who kept trying to impersonate him
Except NZbro. He just gave up pretty much

is that brian posehn

it his twink brother, dan

>of one dude who kept trying to impersonate him
You mean me?

meant for

Nah, i thought it was a faggot 12 year old

>i thought it was a faggot 12 year old
So you do mean me then.

Dropping by w/ my favorite guitar player

> favorite player is a Shoegaze twink
Lemme guess you own a Jazzmaster, Jaguar, or both?

All jokes aside, I don't own a guitar and I'm not Roman.
