Lifting is hardly helpful if you do it an hour a week and continue to drink and eat tons of fat and sugar abd sitting on your fatass all day. Change your diet first, drastically. Cut all the sugar drinks and fried food. Eat more fresh fruit and vegetables, drink water. You want to lose fat therefore eat smaller portions. You will get used to it in a week. If you are over 100 kg then this should get you to at least 90 in few months. Secondly do cardio, you have to start moving. Jogging or cycling, at least like 3 times a week. Then you can start lifting. Remember, the most important is motivation.
