what does Sup Forums think of the Millennial whoop?
What does Sup Forums think of the Millennial whoop?
someone put a word to that phrase that I hate that makes me think of commercialism.
I like it but that video made me ill
it's happening. we're getting old. everything we've known and loved will be turned to memes.
it's not specific enough to be a thing
>going from a third to a fifth
>is apparently important enough to get a stupid name
this isn't special, it's apart of playing happy, major scale music
pop music is inherently popular because it creates a sense of familiarity for listeners. Therefore, when they hear the same 'woop' throughout the genre, they're more inclined to ease into a piece of music they've never heard because it sounds familiar.
>pop music is uncreative and many songs are written by the same people using the same formulas
Whoa this is crazy. Subscribed.
nice to put a phrase to it, but it's been v obvious for years unless you're retarded. it's PR made into song and makes me think of how easily people can be manipulated into liking or buying shit
if you know all of those songs and like any one of them you should walk into traffic
Every decade has its overused sonic elements. The 80s had shitty synths, the 60s had sitars, and so on.
why can't millenials go 5 minutes without making a retarded whooping sound
whats wrong with liking pop? its made to be catchy and appeal to the most people
well i don't like them, but i'm sure something i like and take for granted will be turned into a meme soon enough, and i won't be able to enjoy it anymore without feeling like a fool.
>Music is based on patterns
Holy shit, what a revelation!
Imagine what the greatest generation etc thought listening to boomers just go WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM on the guitar like fuckin retards
most people can barely get dressed in the morning, im not gonna throw my hat in with the lot of 'most people'. pop is simple music for simple minds
yeah but like taking a well-aimed shitpost on the chin and laughing it off, you will do the same with something you like getting memed. this place will train you well
how dare millennials use the sacred major like they own it. they have no respect for music
So your mind is so complex that everything has to have a meaning or a theme behind it. For real dude fuck off man, just have some fun not everything has to stimulate the brain.
>most people can barely get dressed in the morning, im not gonna throw my hat in with the lot of 'most people'. pop is simple music for simple minds
This could literally be put as a caption for one of those pictures with a euphoric looking fedora wearing dude in a cringe thread. Have a think about that.
I love how they pretend to be theory experts and then point out one of the most common interval changes in music as if using it is a bad thing
>reaching this hard
this better be shitposting
to be fair to the guys who made the video, I have been pretty bored with it
>Pop is simple music for simple minds

It sounds like it is purposely trying to blame millennials but its true that its over used and should be stopped
Wow thank you/not thank you for fucking ripping off a thread I tried to make earlier in the day
when something sells everyone does it, that´s how music industry works
why do millenials just use the same progression over and over whoop over it and call it music?
Most of the most well known "4 chord" I-V-VI-IV songs are pre 2005, going back to the 60s
it doesn't stop there those are only the ones in that video
why aren't millennials buying yachts?
Truly revolutionary thoughts here.
;^)
are you the creator of the viraling video? if not you are not being ripped off
