What have you got to say for your defense, Warriors bandwagoners and Curry dickriders?

What have you got to say for your defense, Warriors bandwagoners and Curry dickriders?

OP here, just fyi i want to say that i don't hate Curry, i think he's pretty great, but all the fans and hype piss me off, so more specifically i hate the bandwagoner fans, not Curry

Isiah Thomas shot like 45% from the field. A straight up chucker.

Does this mean that Curry is going to be an even worse GM than Thomas was? Is that even possible?

This isn't your league
This isn't your sport

Thomas was great, kind of sad he doesn't support Curry more as I do think the two are similar, but it's a bit unfair to compare the two. Thomas was the #2 pick and was picked to be the face of the team that they would build around. Curry was the 7th pick (5th guard and 3rd point guard taken) and was picked to be a quality role player. The Warriors had Monta Ellis at the time who was the face of the team and the offense ran through him. He was also the fans' favorite player. So Curry had to play behind him and what made it worse was that Curry dealt with injuries his first few seasons. A lot of teams would have probably looked to trade Curry after those injures, but the Warriors stuck with him and must have noticed he could be great as they traded Ellis and then decided to build the team around Curry. The following year the team started to make the playoffs.

That Ellis trade was interesting as it sent them Bogut and with Ellis gone it moved Klay Thompson up to SG. Though originally the Warriors tried to get Dwight Howard by trading Ellis, but Howard didn't want to sign an extension with the Warriors so the trade fell through.

>what made it worse was that Curry dealt with injuries his first few seasons
excuses, Curry's own fault his ankles are shit

what do you even mean?

This is about a league on a different continent

And do they even play basketball in Belgium?

isaiah thomas was known to play though injuries if i recall correctly

>comparing the overrated joke that was never even the second best player on any of Detroit's championship teams Thomas to Ima shit on bitches and have one the greatest offensive seasons while barely breaking a sweat ever Curry

Just when you think Sup Forums couldn't get any dumber :^/

Y'all did look to trade him actually, the Warriors made Cuban an offer to swap for Terry and a 1st rounder

But Thomas' career was coming to an end when he hit 28 because of those injuries. Curry's is at its peak at 28.

I disagree. You can pull numbers on "first 6 years" but we all know that doesn't tell the whole story.

Curry was injured for a few of those years and also was a backup. Thomas started from the beginning. Averaging 20ish a game and 9ish assists. Chris Paul like numbers.

Curry on the other hand, and especially the last few years carries a presence on the court beyond just his statistics. His stats would be even better had the league not adjusted and started stretching their defense to respect hus range. Draymonds entire game is predicated around Curry. He is basically turning average players into all stars. Fucking draymond even got two 2nd place votes in the MVP voting.

The hype is real for a reason. Despite what your sour ass attitude wants to believe. The bulls hysteria was just as bad. I'm 31 and I remember hating the bulls just as much as you hate GSW.

I agree it's not Belgiums sport, but can't i still follow it? If not, why??

>This is my league

What team do you own, m8?

Steph missed a season in one of those years lel

>injuries
>Steph only got good recently

>Years
>Not minutes played

Are Belgians retarded?

As much as I like Zeke and rate him as a top 3 PG of all-time, this macro is disingenuous.

Curry in those 6 years only played 416 games as he missed most of the 2011-2012 season with an ankle injury and only played 26 games that year.

Zeke had 9827 points, 964 steals, 4,879 assists, 1,771 rebounds.

Assuming Curry would have played at least 78 games in the 11-12 season he'd also be at around 9800-9900 points, 800-850 steals, 3200-3300 assists, 1900 rebounds.

Points is a wash between both of them but Steph clearly shoots in a better percentage and has more range.

Zeke is clearly a better passer and a better defender.

Steph has slightly better rebounding numbers.

They actually compare quite favorably for their first six years.

Do note that Isiah's peak statistical years were the next 5 years after his rookie season and he was never at that level again because Chuck Daly asked him to play a different role for the sake of competing for a championship.

Curry's peak has just started.

>Curry's peak has just started

Uhhhh okay. I'm pulling for the Pistons to tear their ass away from the throne next season. Fuck the Golden State Warriors.

All of these salty injury-touting babies in here. It's amazing how sports fans can gaze into alternate dimensions to witness the "What-it's" that plague any pro-team. You guys are the same people who talk about Len Bias as one of the great unknowns, despite shit like that having no basis in reality as it played out.

Hasn't Curry been out for like a year total with various injuries?
And he still almost meets Isaiah Thomas' stats?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>the """"""golden""""" age

Yeah, but not as good, dynamic, or charismatic as Isaiah Thomas--who is like, the 27th greatest NBA player? Keep cumming over Curry.

>Curry's first 6 years: 14,599 minutes
>Thomas' first 6 years: 17,425 minutes

>Curry's 7th year: 2375 points, 169 steals, 527 assists, 430 rebounds (in 2700 min)
>Thomas' 7th year: 1577 points, 141 steals, 678 assists, 278 rebounds (in 2927 minutes)

This this this this this. When Curry is on he is absolutely legendary, unguardable, and he makes everyone on his team insanely good. He can out shoot and out dribble anyone in the NBA right now.

>calling Zeke an overrated joke

Who were the top two players on their back-to-back championship years?

Do you not understand what the word "peak" means you fucking retard? Yes, this is Curry's peak season, that is the season where he has the highest numbers of his career. So yes, this is objectively his peak season.

I swear you must be being retarded on purpose.

>I'm 31 and I remember hating the bulls
Damn, you were that salty ass kid on the playground. I appreciated greatness at that age, but of course I was a year older and much more mature.

Fuck him. Watch whatever you want, but you should look up another stat
> minutes played
Because Curry sat out for over half of the 4th quarters this year

>The city of OP
BRUTAL
SAVAGE
REKT

He is just defensive because whenever an American posts in a soccer thread, we get flamed.

So what are you saying, dickhead? That Curry is only heading down from here? If that's true, what the fuck are you out-of-towner bandwagoners even doing here?

Nigga stfu
The pistons have more rings than golden taint or lebron ever will

Lebron won two in a row.
Dubs are favored to repeat this year.

Seems even to me.

>this flag
>this opinion

Lol

Excuse you shithead I live in the Bay Area and have been a Warriors fan all my life. And in regards to his peak, I believe the comment you were replying to said it was just starting, but I wouldn't expect an illiterate pinhead such as yourself to be able to understand basic English.

Golden stank MAY get the peat
After that the team will scatter
Lilbron will lose and leave cleveland
Screencap me
Lecramps may get another with a different team in the next 3 yrs
Golden state will never have 3

Draymond, Klay and Steph are all still gonna be around next year... And it's not like they have gotten worse at all.

Currys early years were rough on his stats

Only Barnes will leave the Warriors next season, but they have enough money to keep them if he wants to stay. All of their players are locked up for a good while with manageable contracts.

>point guards
>not addressing the difference in assists
Curry is an amazing shooter, but he's just a specialist and not his team's anchor. If the warriors weren't so stacked and didn't have great coaching, he wouldn't even be as good as Ray Allen was.

>peak=best year of his career
>his peak is just starting

What are you saying then dipshit? The best year of his career is just starting? Congratulations on being a Warriors die-hard. I totally believe you've been along for the ride for the 40 years they didn't matter in. I'm sure it's exciting to have the most milquetoast MVP in the game bring your team to the tippy top. Here's to hoping the Warriors don't run into Damien Lillard anytime soon--apparently they can't handle him. Once Lillard shares his obviously-established Jordan Rules for Steph Curry, it'll be all over. Curry won't be dynamic enough to counter it.

By the way I hope you don't think Curry is a better player than Isaiah. Isaiah Thomas led the Pistons to end two NBA dynasties, and deny Jordan from being Jordan.

Thread
The pistons killed showtime lakers and stymied clyde and jordan. Then the team was broken up and rodman goated it up in chicago. The rest is history

I don't get it. Didn't Curry ride the bench and get hurts in his first years? It's as stupid as that kobe/lebron first years image.

They clock pretty close in minutes. Seek out an above post.

Curry dealt with injuries his first few years. But now he's healthy and ready to roll. Should compare years 4,5,6 between the two and see what happens.

>3000 mins is pretty close

Again, I hate the dipshit "but what if" that sports people are always shouting about. Let's see those minutes roll up for Curry. He might touch Isaiah on offense, but Curry is a balls defensive player.

>might touch Isaiah on offense
he would pass that

Tbh 70% of americans in football threads are trolls

NBA is garbage nowadays. Players get called for looking at someone funny

Uh, this is Sup Forums, Ahmed. 99% of the posters on all threads from all nations are trolls.

Westbrook is better than Curry at just about everything, except for shooting. Curry's one of the GOAT shooters, Westbrook is average at best. So Curry's probably better based on that alone.

So they're stats are similar even though Curry played 3000 less minutes then Thomas?

Draymond, as a power forward, had 12 triple doubles this season

hes a pretty good player, curry or not

Curry had a better handle too.

lol moron

Curry has way better handles than Westbrook
