So it's already on soulseek in 320. Who has listened? I just listened to "All Black" and personally liked concept a lot!

can i get a mega/zippy?
I have no. It's still nowhere, but soulseek, I think..
I fucking love it. Their storytelling was one of their strongest aspects on preceding albums, so getting an entire album of it is great.
Here's a v0 link: mega.nz
Thanks!
just pre-ordered the clear LP+Patch
Thank you very much kind user
Just listened to it, honestly i'm pretty dissapointed
It's like a bunch of interludes with songs in the middle. It's very atmospheric but I think it would have been a lot batter if it was longer/
>It's like a bunch of interludes with songs in the middle.
why does everyone fucking say this
no rapping/not a lot of rapping on the track =/= interlude
it's not meant to be a conventional hip-hop album, you'd think that would be really fucking obvious on your first listen
>Story 5 sounds like a musical
They're getting a bit melodramatic, no?
>my first listen of an album is definitely an objective fact and i won't ever change my opinion of it
kys
Thanks my dude.
I agree that it could have afforded to be longed
god forbid someone has a dissenting opinion, holy crap
I've always felt they were more cinematic than melodramatic per se. There's something about their choice of samples and the way they emphasise narrative through their song structures and lyricism which feels like something out of a hollywood blockbuster, like Story 2 for example. Haven't listened to S&M yet but given its sci-fi concept you could forgive me for thinking along similar lines
Not the dude you responded to, but I didn't like Story 2 because it seemed to melodramatic to me, especially when the beat picks up, it just put me off. But I'm currently listening to Splendor and Misery and it's seriously fucking great.
different strokes I guess. I love Story 2 because the build is so cathartic, especially the way it moves in time with the pace of the narrative, I can't help but feel moved when it hits the last couple lines and the beat explodes into those synth arpeggios. Gonna give the new album a listen now
>I've always felt they were more cinematic than melodramatic per se.
considering the producers are both professional soundtrack composers i think it's not a huge surprise that you would feel that way.
Enjoy. You're in for a treat.
To be fair, the whole album is kind of like one big story
what I said wasn't an opinion retard
they're not interludes and it isn't a conventional hip-hop album
that is objective fact
mmk
