What do you think of the album?
I think the first 4 tracks are exceptionally strong. It gets weaker as the album goes on with some exceptions.
Also has anyone else noticed the mixing is weird?
Favourite track: Way Back
Worst: Guidance

agreed. first 4 tracks floored me.
favorites are through the late night (i LOVE old cudi) and goosebumps
least favorite is biebs in the trap.
better than rodeo?
How does the mixing sound weird to you?
I've only listened fully about once, but so far it's disappointing. It feels like a cash grab capitalizing on how big Travis got after Rodeo, which itself was pretty fresh to me. This album is essentially a compilation of half hearted singles. 6/10
mike dean fucked the mastering completely, distorts all over the place on almost every track, vocals are too fucking loud
however, the whole thing feels very airy and i like that... some killer melodies too, and great features
also, don't sleep on guidance... would be one of my favourites if not for the stupid amounts of clipping lmao
Birds in the Trap Sing Antidote for Fifty Fucking Minutes
i like the idea behind guidance, i just don't think it was carried out in the most.... satistfying (not exactly the word i'm looking for, but the closest i can find now) way.
Birds in the Trap Get Clipped to Hell

SeeI can understand a 6 but even though the second half is weaker I feel it has enough merit for me, with strong features from Kendrick, Savages, even Quavo and some bangers and the good albeit overplayed phone song with young thug, to merit a 7.5.
Some of the subtle production is orgasmic for me. The woodwind on Way Back is lovely
Birds in the Trap Are Fifty Percent Bullshit Features
yeah I get you... i just feel as though the whole thing would shine more with better mixing/mastering :(
pissed he cancelled his london gig to 'spend more time on his album'... obvs not enough time
Birds in the Trap Surround One Good Song with Thirteen of Filler
bonus points if you can guess the song
fully thought u meant 'savages' as in the band for a second... hahaha
Birds in the Trap Make a Desiigner Album with Cudi Production
Birds in the Trap Are Kept There by Mike Dean
all accurate tbqh
His feature was absolutely gnarly
The mastering ruins it for me. I feel like its trying to be lo-fi but its just too airy and hollow all the way through. Diggin the album cover though, very Frank Miller.
Rodeo > Days Before Rodeo > Owl Pharaoh > BitTSMK
i love biebs in the trap
king kendrick goes hard
Birds in the Trap Sing Like Future with More Autotune
Pick Up The Phone
Nope
Insert coin, try again

Best moment on the album for you?
When Travis comes in with day and night

the washed out song

guidance
pop music with trap influenced beats the album
i no longer care
Nope
Insert coin, try again
that usually makes some of the best pop anyway
Birds in the Trap Check These Digits
guidance was my favourite desu
this was probably the biggest piece of shit ever, it's the same song x13 + pick up the phone.
HOW THE FUCK DID WE GO FROM THIS
youtube.com
TO BIEBS IN THE TRAP
fuck Travis, I actually had to stop 3/4 into the album and put on The Real Uzi mixtape. that's how shit it is, I have to listen to uzi vert to drown it out.
I'm so sad, Days was so fucking good, Rodeo was a great followup, and now this piece of honking shit. hopefully he'll realize what a piece of shit he's become and straighten up for Astroworld.
Pickup the Phone is the best song he's made all year. Nothing on this album comes even close to it.
That being said the album has a handful of high points, but the lows are boring snoozefests
I'm thinking maybe 6.6/10
Best:
Outside
The Ends
Way Back
if we're not counting potp
