It's not ugly. I got a lot of tourists near my house and heard a lot of german. It sounds kinda like a scandinavian language (yeah, I know, same origin, so it's normal).
People who never heard it think about "nazi german" when you ask them about it. So yeah, hitler speaking german sounds very ugly because It's pronounced aggressively, harshly and yelled. But honestly normaly speaked It just sound funny.
