capri is an amazing album, one of my favorites too.
Looking for warm drone recs or anything that's chill and melancholic really.
Bump
what you desire is a lot like as well as Capri, that OP posted
This was my aoty last year, fits the bill pretty well. If you dig Celer you'll more then likely love this.
can anyone rec some good entry level stuff that may not be so well known, ive gone through most of the genre chart ones
...
Willamette - Echo Park (warm drone)
Scissors & Sellotape - For the tired and ill at ease (drone/minimal piano)
Twin Cities - memoirs: to dust (noisey drone)
Ricky Eat Acid - seeing little ghosts everywhere (short field recording like pieces)
Any thing by celer
Eluvium - talk amongst the trees (warm drone)
Hope this helps!

Been really into Sleep Research Facility and Svartsinn lately, looking for stuff that's similar (or more so, as good). Any suggestions?
>assuming everything everything on Bandcamp is shit imideately
Music For Airports is a classic.
They hate everything that someone else hasn't already approved. Just like a sheep, they only follow whoever is in front of them.

anyone make a good ambient flowchart? I mean not a rec/essential, a proper flowchart.
Someone made one recently but iirc it was complete shit. Check the wiki, there'll be several.
Structures from Silence and Stalker are without a doubt two of the finest.
Bumping this. Any love for Michael Stearns in here?
If you can get past the kind of cheesy appropriating of cultural music, Gail Laughton's 'Harps of the Ancient Temples' is a great accidental ambient record imo
This dude is super cool. I got to chat with him at a show earlier this year. His Radial EP has a cover of Aphex Twin's Stone in Focus which is fantastic.
Bumping Celer and Eluvium. Celer just released Drawback and I listened to it last night. It might be my new favorite background noise. It's really non-intrusive, which is cool.
There are so many absolutely fantastic bandcamp artists that some don't give the time of day.
hail satan
Has anyone here heard of the duo called En?
They're on Kranky with a few albums. I think their album Already Gone is just fantastic.

No man, I don't even know if he's ever performed in the Netherlands. Would be great to see though.
