If I really loved the sounds they messed with on Confield what should I listen to next?

You mean october?

Is it true that only Sup Forumstants go to Autechre shows?? I dont think nobody outside Sup Forums knows about Autechre, right?

you'll find way more watmm nerds than Sup Forumstants at ae shows lad

I hope you're joking mate

you start from the beggining?

just seeing and holy shit their backlog seems huge af
all of them?

...

thank you

Autechre live in London

what to cop next lads?

Draft 7.30, EP7, and the Gantz Graf EP

go chronologically (including EPs) you dip

>start with Cavity Job
great advice lad

as you can see i already fucked that up though :^( i'll just go with chiastic slide. god emperor piero seems to like it

Just be aware that the middle of the album from Hub to Pule can be boring, but otherwise it's a very nice mix between their classic Amber/Tri Repetae sound and the crazier stuff they would later do on Confield.

>Incunabula
>8/10

wew

do autechre releases sound better on vinyl?

>singles = EPs
good job user

Anyone going to Bristol?

I probably will but I haven't got tickets yet

They're sold out now I think

holy shit kek

Their later material is for fedoralord chinstrokers.

post tri rep ae 2deep4scaruffi

nope

It's included in EPs 1991-2002 pal

it's still most definitely a dance single
also you should be tagging them individually rather than using a compilation anyway

I want a full album of material like this.

not sure yet

C7b2 is one of the better tracks off elseq.
Does anyone feel the same?

Nah, it's amazing

Just mint techno

And their early material is generic as fuck.

Their sound was way ahead of it's time. That's elementary knowledge.

It really wasn't. Those really crunchy beats and textures weren't seen a lot in that sort of ambient techno at the time, neither were the heavy hip-hop influences. People like Orbital were way more ravey or housey, while many of their peers on the AI comp had a bleepy techno sound that was so popular in Sheffield. Obviously there was some influence from the Acid house scene in Manchester, but overall Ae's sound always felt more "American" to me.

Don't get Uviol desu. It's so repetitive it feels like recurring deja vu throughout.

>overall Ae's sound always felt more "American" to me
DELET THIS

6:06-6:08 in uviol is one of my fav ae moments

dunno why

What will they do next lads?

I don't like Autechre

oh man, i've never seen that last video

so weird seeing them in summery attire lol

I was only speaking of Incunabula there, not their body of work. Compared to the other people in the AI series, Ae took way more from American producers, be it hip-hop or electro.

"elseq is overrated" is a sentiment that i've seen expressed on here quite a few times but i find that statement baffling. apart from a high score on rym and appearing on some ppl's aoty charts, it's been virtually ignored everywhere else. it's even pretty impossible to have an in-depth discussion about it on Sup Forums.

any manchester man in

hate mannies tbfh

can't understand a single word they're saying

absolute waste
