Supreme ballon- Matmos

>tfw the vengabus got impounded

pic related and Returnal

No, you both forgot pic related.

please don't post memes. I know they're good but please... just try... think about board quality...

Fine, RDJ it is.

Didn't expect it to be any good, but I actually like it a lot. It has a very floaty, ethereal feeling similar to Music Has the Right to Children, but a lot more whimsical and cartoonish.

ez1

@ This its bad
@ this t00
@ dumb posterr
@ rliterally press random bottoms. Wow genious hha xd

Boards of Canada ascends memes

>>>/bleeps/

Top notch shitposting, my friend.

Either this or 476 vol 3 Hellbender

You're all forgetting something.

>daft punk
>/bleep/
lmao

troll harder

If trip-hop is allowed...

Found that album to be like a bad dissociative high
Not comfy and strange but I can't stop recalling it

Not sure how many levels of irony this shitposting goes into.

love seeing all the boc love

here's a personal fav

That's every BoC album to me, m88

Most BoC albums are pretty comfy to me
Early BoC has this really strange sound, I guess I'm more a fan of Geogaddi/Campfire Headphase style BoC
youtube.com/watch?v=pbeG1XrZPJs for example is interesting and bizarre for BoC

>literally "I love electronic music soooooo much, aphex twin, boards of canada, opn, the list could go on..": the thread

I don't see this album discussed very often.

...

Post something different then faget if you're going to complain about entry level artists

it is very goode

...

yeah, but to me a lot of old tunes is still pretty comfy, it's a great mix

i liked this

This is an excellent album.

I'm a sucker for Trip Hop

YMO interests me.

...

Listening now, i like it

also

...

CV2 is really good too except for a couple tracks in the second half

...

here you go mate, you should try it, it's pretty good

>Jan Jelinek
>not entry-level
Wew laddy

nowhere near as entry level as most of the stuff posted in here
but my argument isn't really it's bad because it's entry level, I would just rather it not be a circle jerk of the same selection of albums everyone has heard a million times

Fantano memeing aside, this album is pretty choice.

...

listened to this again tonight, it's still as much of a classic as it was the day it came out

I mean, dude, it's still pretty entry level and on loads of essentials charts

...

No taste police responding to every post in the thread?

Holy shit I'm listening to Sunshine Recorder right now

My go-to "winter" sound. The synths are so chilly and the weird kid vocals are unsettling in just the right way.

What

why are you guys making fun of electronic music as genre?

Its not a genre, its a production method for 80 years of music from Stockhausen to Kanye, Kraftwerk to Tycho.

>768 words for rock
>unironically uses ''electronic'' as a label

...

Four Tet, Burial, Tim Hecker

...

...

This is pretty neat. Thanks user.

Stop treating "electronic" as a genre of music ffs, it's a massive umbrella term to categorize decades of music that sound nothing alike, it's the equivalent of creating a thread titled "God Tier String Music" and discussing classical amongst various sub-genres of rock and folk

Love this one

Hasty Boom Alert is such a great fucking track
Spotify recomended it me months ago but I didn't read many discussions about this album here until 2 weeks ago

hey, kill yourself

...

no u

needs more mentions. Hopefully he does something soon

>electronic

Arca - Mutant

I think this duo gets way too little recognition. Their stuff is great but it drags on for too long sometimes.

ladytron - 604

You think we don't know that? Subgenre discussion gets more cancerous the more specific it gets. Some people like a lot of different electronica and would rather avoid that nonsense.

dunno about this one mate I liked shigeto's older stuff. this one came out as a bit TOO experimental with the beeps and the boops. Much preferred his janky jingles and premature loops to what he has going on in this piece.

Why were the seventies so good?

...

You forgot chem bros

>electronica
triggered

Right lads
In a review for a Ryoji Ikeda album, someone compared getting deeper into the rabbit-hole of electronic music as:
"That music is like a drug. You start out pretty easy, let's say drinking Music Has the Right to Children. But pretty soon, you want something heavier, more experimental. And you start smoking Tri Repetae. After a while, you get used to that to. You snort 94 Diskont. And before you know it, you're injecting Aaltopiiri into your foreskin."

Is there a good route into following music like this? I'm a fan of Autechre, I love 93 Diskont, and I enjoyed dataplex, but what other experimental electronic music do I need to hear?

>tfw no machinedrum

wtf m8ys Room(s) and Vapor City are at least 9/10

>Obligatory Demon Days is better
Sorry, I can't understand the love for this album; it's not an album, it's a few good songs with no flow.

anyone who hasn't listened to garden of delete, please do its a beast and easily his best ever

...

...

...

...

My negro.

Because you didn't cater to their autistic genre naming bullshit. This is their way of lashing out

...

...

>their autistic genre naming bullshit
and yet you probably have at least 20 sub-genres of rock in your music library

It's not fucking hard, just learn the basic genres like trance, techno, house, breakbeat, industrial, synth pop, ambient, garage

Does SILY count?

...

Someone who doesn't listen to any electronic music here. Can anyone throw some charts my way to get me started?

It'd be much appreciated, thanks!

First, what kind of electronic music are you looking to get into?

A chart for electronic music would be as useful as a chart for all recordings performed using string instruments

Its a pretty diverse genre. What kind of music do you like
>Inb4 all kinds as long as they're good

just start with Aphex Twin t b h, if you like the stuff of his like
