Hi!
I've been there once myself but unfortunately wasn't aware of their tradition and customs.
That left me with a slightly tarnished experience of this otherwise great nation.
My advice is to greet them with something like: "Top of the morning to ya, Paddy!"
I wish I knew that when I was there.
If you will be at the bar make sure to order Guinness beer and bring up the time of the Troubles to get a real conversation going.
Wearing the famous green hat might be a bit too much, though. ;)
