Sincerely, I do not understand the appeal of this song. I get that it's meant for parties and the like, but there's a ton of music with great energy that can be used for that and that is used for that. This song has no energy driving it, it's so dull and banal in every way.
It's a shame, because I really liked the Black Eyed Peas output in their early days. Even Elephunk was a good album.
What happened to them to cause such a profound shift in their music towards this dreadful banality?

I think it is a pretty cool song. The vocals have a bit of an unbearable quality to it for me though. But it has this very interesting mix of spanish, and american vocals. I also like the interesting dark atmosphere and simple yet hypnotic quality to it. Very solid stuff.
