What does Sup Forums think of MGMT?

Their singles are fun, especially for dancing and in parties, but their albums are pure shit.

Also, i saw them live about two years ago; one of the worst gigs i have ever done.

eh, they have a few good non-single tracks on OS and congratulations that aren't too shabby

They don't care about their fans at all. They became hugely popular when Oracular Spectacular came out but most of the fans were drug-taking music festival college student hipsters. They decided to completely abandon the sound everyone loved from that first album, and basically spit in the face of anyone who still likes them for their early stuff.

Isn't that what every artist ever has done? The first that comes to my mind is Autechre.

Congratulations and Metanoia are fantastic and OS is incredibly overrated.

I don't know if I'm biased or not just because Andrew's close black friend came in my gf once but MGMT is definitely one of the goat when it comes to pop music.

OS is fucking amazing, only two songs on there I can really say I don't love.
Listened to their newest album and I thought it was trash, although I should probably listen to it again to fully gauge if it's good or not. Just can't remember anything good off that album.

I don't know if that's true. OS is psychedelic pop. The fact that the radio caught onto it doesn't change it. Congratulations continues that, but the Jews controlling the mass-media didn't pick up their new singles. But Flash Delirium is still up there with their top hits in terms of quality.

The two bad songs are 4th dimensional transition and future reflections, right?

Yeah they fucked up s/t pretty bad, I think they were under the impression that they're a better band than they are and tried to make something that is actually psychedelic but just totally fucked up. However, you're overrating their other two releases.

who cares about what fans think they are a decent band with catchy music.

Sometimes they sound too much like Empire Of The Sun.
Or maybe it's EOTS that sounds too much like MGMT.
