nth for don't know if I should try to become actually skilled or just fuck with pedals

God i want a carbon fibre guitar. But they are so ridiculously expensive. And cancerous. The thought of my belt buckle digging through the resin in the back and drizzling pure carbon fibre on my crotch is kind of scary.

Repoastin from old bread
>Let's say I have a passage in dminor which ends with a amin7, what would be a nice way to get back into the cmaj chorus (starts with a cmaj chord)
Directly from amin7 to cmaj sounds lame, I want a brief moment of tension

the digitech obscura seems to be reasonably priced, I would have bought it myself but I kinda wanted the analog darkness so I chose a carbon copy

>'senpai' wordfilters to 'senpai'
Just fuck my post up, famalam.

Don't look at this, I can't take the shame of the idiocy.

God you're dumb

oh you poor idiot

Friendly reminder that the only guitars worth playing are American made, Asian planks with strings on them are crap. ok? ok. Peace niggers

I seriously want to get this but I play bass I dont know how well that would work.

Just toss in something with b as the bass note

I'm actually reasonably clever, I'm just really, really hungover.

Off the top of my head:

Amin7-G7-Cmaj7 (a bit cliche though)
Amin7-Bo7-Cmaj7
Amin7-Db7-Cmaj7

Also experiment with alterations if you want added tension, for example, instead of the G7 you could play G7#9-G7b9 or something like that

You can replace the B diminished 7th with a half diminished btw

Hell yes

But muh ibby.

>This triggers the Sup Forumstant

speaking of asian planks, look what i got. i was going to post this the other day but i was away with a forced vacation. its up now so everything is ok!

the tuners are alright, nut is just plastic, some of the fret ends are painful to touch. the pickup switch seems to have been put under pressure so its actually bent and crooked to the side, though it still works. but user this sounds awful why would you buy it? well, it SOUNDS nice. i like what i can do with this. the shape is comfy when sitting down too. the neck i actually like a lot. theyre good for the price but only if you arent afraid to work on them.

Quick question: I'm looking for a song, purely instrumental, on acoustic guitar, that features the player turning the pegs and sliding the capo up and down the neck. I saw it long ago on youtube, but now I can't find it, all I see are gliding capo ads.

Nevermind, found it, it was Passion Flower by Jon Gomm. There is no capo involved, somehow I misremembered.

That was pretty fucking cool (even though it's not "purely instrumental"), thanks for sharing user.

demo it fag
on clyp

ugh

it's a fender bass VI though

I always wanted a liquid. Those p90s are killer and I really want to know how they sound in the bridge position.

>learning how to play on justinguitar
>tuned guitar by myself
>try to play a chord
>guitar makes that weird plucking sound
>try to play a single string
>does the same sound
What am i doing wrong?
Pic related, model i'm using

>weird plucking sound

wut?

the one he's talking about in this video
youtube.com/watch?v=yh6sPqDEZCY

Seems like you're either touching adjacent strings with your fingers or you're not pressing the strings down hard enough.

He explains what you're doing wrong in the video. You're either not pushing down hard enough, or you're muting the strings with your other fingers. Keep practicing.

Also..
>7 minute video only about playing a D chord
Christ, I forgot how much it sucks when you're just starting out. Thank fuck I started learning when I was 15.

I'm pressing on them pretty hard so i think it's the ladder.
Thanks for the help

>Christ, I forgot how much it sucks when you're just starting out. Thank fuck I started learning when I was 15.

I was thinking the exact same thing, it's excruciating to watch. I'm so glad I barely remember learning that stuff cause I was so young, and it's second nature. Shit hurt too from what I remember

Anyone know where I could find an original Charvel/Jackson case for a Kelly KE2 like pic related?
I still can't believe Jackson has you shelling three grands for an instrument and ship them with those shitty SKB plastic cases.
Well not that shitty but god damn that shape is awkward as fuck and the plastic hinges/lock thingies look flimsy at best.

Glad you like it. You should throw some tort on it for maximum class. I'd love to hear some cleans/straight to interface of the bridge pickup. I guess a p90 begs for overdrive too, though.

Seriously, look at this shit.
Funny thing is, they used to ship Pro series, Japanese made Jackson guitars (500/600€) with the exact same cases. Until the factory got fucked up after the tsunami anyway.

Yep. I mostly feel sorry for my parents having to listen to me play the same exact thing over and over and over again for months on end. Somehow they never even told me to shut the fuck up or turn it down once.

are you implying fender are a bunch of jews or something?

>tfw you really want to tune stupidly low right now but can't go through the hassle of buying thick strings and setting up the guitar again
>would probably just fuck around with it for 10 minutes and then want to go back to E
physics can go eat a dick

Shut up fag I'm still mad about it.
The guitar is perfect though, even if I let it exposed to the sun at some point and the white turned to a cream/ivory.

this thread fucking sucks

do i do it?

Tune low, then capo back up when you're sick of it. Problem solved

I'm not talking about "B standard" kind of low, I want to go down to F#, that's how fucking stupid I am, having half of the fretboard useless wouldn't feel right.

no. objectively shit guitar. get a tele instead

...

buy a cheap guitar and keep that one in F#
It's going to sound like trash anyway so cheap won't make it much worse

>$3000 for a literal meme guitar that looks like it's made out of plastic

good goy

A long scale helps with that. Baritone guitars are fun

Does a 12 string tele even exist?

faggots the both of you

Nah, fuck cheap guitars, I ain't buying anything under 300$ new ever, better save up for some quality gear than hoard up a bunch of crap.

I know right, definitely feels smoother to play on the low strings too. Kinda curious about 30" too, I should try out a bass vi (although I don't like fender/squier necks)

I kind of like those cheapo Danelectro baritones they've been making.

>gloss finish on a rosewood fretboard

I don't like how they look and I'm not too interested in the pickups either (my favourite tones are generally out of either a high output humbucker in the bridge or just a middle single coil), but the neck seems interesting enough.

Guys how do I stop being depressed so I can have the ambition to write and record again?

play with some new people

sit out on a beautiful night and try to translate how you feel into music

buy a new guitar

therapy

youtube.com/watch?v=JMvG9W1HASs

what's the electric part playing lads?

downsize your rig
find new music that you can play
I emphasize "can play" because getting into feedback-ish noisy stuff when you live in an appartment is frustrating

>owns 7 guitars
>only two are decent

>fender bass VI though
Exactly my famalading im a 4 string fag not a 6 string baritone.

I can't talk about 12 string but the 6 sounds great

I wouldn't personally spend £1500 on a 12 string unless I can just through away that much for a gimmick because they're not that versitile

I'd say get a cheap 12 string or get a 6 string rick and a good chorus pedal

That way you can use your Rick for anything you want and still get the 12 string sound, even though it won't sound as natural

Could I get the model of that hollowbody farthest on the right?

If it makes you happy and you have the dosh

enjoy your neck whip and constant tuning issues

Epiphone Emperor

Different user. It's a Gretsch 5420t

i actually use delay with bass

mostly reverse or analog with chorus though

>Epiphone Emperor

Thanks user, how do you like it?

I like it pretty good.

>Gee Bill, your Mom let's you have TWO Pickles?

You're an epic guy

>buy a new guitar
Hey I like this one the best I'll just continue to feed the black hole of GAS
Ye this is probably a lot of my problem because all I have the ambition to play right now is drone/ambient/shoegaze stuff and it's hard to do that at low volumes
>two
Hey I think my Strat, Martin, and Gretsch are good. Also I would rather have a lot of decent guitars then one or two really nice ones because I like the versatility. Most are in different tunings.
Gretsch G5420t, I love it. Put some flatwounds on it and it gets some great mellow jazz tones.
Ye I had one and my friend had one but didn't like it so I traded him for a big muff

Most of those problems can be fixed by taking it to your local music shop and asking them to do a setup on it. It costs around $40

>Gretsch
not a gretsch but whatever

How much did you pay for your Gretsch?

What do you use exactly? I'm interested in the Echo cause it has reverb and delay with 12 settings. I have no idea what Im talking about but its 2 in 1. Trying to build a small board desu.

I think you can get 5420t's and 5422t's used in reverb for $500 and up

Am I getting memed
About 900

pic related. i used to have the m5, it's a fucking steal for ~$100 and i also used it as a tuner and for mod or reverb when necessary

Should I get a 1927 Gibson Tenor Guitar for $1500?

ricks are for dicks

Hold the fuck up its got 5 fx in 1? $100? Yo.

Pics or stop memeing on me

you bought a chinky chibson knockoff gretsch so yes you got memed

those strap buttons are pretty cool.

Kys

Here's one from their site. Will post more.

Another

you get plenty but you can only use 1 at a time
sort of a pedalboard swiss knife

lmao

Got em

Thanks famalam, a lot of people don't like them but I don't see anyone else doing it and I thought it looked kind of cool
Actually interested in why you think it's a knockoff

?

does it say gretsch on the headstock

Gg ez

Found this on Craigslist for $1000, thinking about contacting them

Good buy?

no

Nah Tenor guitars are gimmicky.

Yep, says it on the pick guard too
