I noticed this too. It's really apparent when women try to cover songs by men that require tons of emotion and it comes out as generic singing. It's like they don't even understand the subtleties in inflection or pain of the artist.
I don't think it's because they don't feel emotions, it's just that they really suck at conveying them through the medium of music.
