A lot of good albums in that chart that Sup Forums never talks about.

>Hey everyone! I know a lot of broad terms and how to smash them together to seem smart
We all think you are very smart.
Who are you quoting?
i dont even use rym, i like discogs its just that genres are often off if you want to be really autistic about genres
you seem embarrassed of your mistake
Hi turny.

not a bad list. is there a collage on what?
House and techno both started in the 80s so have been around for over 30 years each.
Was rock not an ''established genre'' until the 1990s?
Techno is an established genre.
House is just disco for people who can't play non-synthetic instruments.
...
Rock is just rhythm & blues for white people.
But Rock was invented by non-white people.
*by copying black peoples rhythm & blues
>big beat
>projecting
Thank you turny
whats the best album to get into 90s idm?
(i'm fairly familiar with aphex twin and boards of canada)
dead cities

nice bait
IDM isn't real
FSoL and Orbital are just techno, only Autechre could be called IDM (but not to their face).
Autechre is techno
Techno is EDM
EDM is pleb
They are all IDM
IDM is patrician
Autechre is techno
FSOL is techno
Orbital is techno/ambient house
While Techno is traditionally a more functional genre for the club, not all of it is dance floor friendly. Stop falling for the IDM meme. It's a novelty term that clueless journos started pushing in order to appeal to "classy" listeners in America.
dead cities most definately has some idm in it, maybe not lifeforms and isdn, but seriously this is surely idm
youtube.com
orbital you could argue, but i mean its ambient techno which was essentially proto-idm anyway, shits close enough, idm is a stupid fucking term anyway, not even because the whole hurr our music is smarter than yours schtick, but because it so fucking vague and hard to pinpoint exactly what it is and it blends with so many other genres essentially making it an umbrella term, much like downtempo
