Françoise hardy
Forteresse and Peste Noire
merci beaucoup kind sir
what kind of music do you listen to? I don't know my own country's music too well but there's a decent math/noise/prog scene and metal scene but not much of it sings in french
Pneu / la Colonie de vacances/ Cheveu / Peste Noire / Gojira... There's also a lot of shitty catchy pop bands like Feu Chatterton or Louise Attaque
There's crazy good rap in french language but it depends what you like. Huge electro acts but you're probably less interested
On the other side of the pond Arcade Fire sometimes sing in French? kek. Chocolat is a good Montreal psych/garage/alt band

best french artist is objectively Jacques Brel. Ces Gens-La is a masterpiece.
thanks everyone for sharing
I listen to all kinds of music bro
I would just say I'm not big on ambience and super hardcore abstract Sup Forums, but i seem to get deeper and deeper into that as the years go by
And yeah I love arcade fire but I'm looking for like pure french
I'll check out everything you posted mate

Debout sur le zinc are amazing. Also, Jacues Brel is a fucking genious and a classic, so that is a must.
