You'll be singing a different tune when emperor Trump annexes your ass.
Well, our motto was "E pluribus unum" or, "From many, one." until the Red Scare in the fifties. I think we should switch back, as America is a secular nation and "From many, one." represents our country very well. Also, we are first world. We have the highest standard of living in the world.
CTR pls go.
>Emporer Trump
God save the Queen. :^)
Sup Forums, not now. The adults are talking. Go cry about your CTR bogeyman in your room. I was just stating historical facts.

We actually don't.
>Japan
I'm surprised
Oh she'll be fine. She doesn't live in Canada.
yeah I expected better. Aside from them, look at the fine company you guys share similar values with
>his head of State doesn't live in his country
Were first world, but admittedly on the lower-rung of it.
Japan does it because of muh honor, the US does it because of muh social contract.
they don't tell the people on death row their date of execution
It should really look like this tho.
>tfw Illinois abolished it because Chicago cops are too corrupt to keep innocents on Death Row
This is why we can't have nice things.
still the majority, I mean there are more humane methods of course but the end result is the same
To be fair tho, all legal systems include human error and it's statistically guaranteed that innocent people are executed in America every year.
Given how costly and time-consuming it is, and that Life Without Parole has existed since the 1980s, rather few States have actually executed anyone since 1976, but very few politicians want to be known as the guy who wants to get it off the books. Even Californians rejected a ballot initiative to abolish it, and it's not going to be unconstitutional anytime soon now that Trump controls the SCOTUS nominations, even if it withers away naturally.
While true, and while we ought to accept some unfortunate errors, it was found in the late 1990s that Illinois's Death Row was found to be around 10% innocent. At least we got John Wayne Gacy.
