THE WHO
Literally the Beatles. There's no other correct answer.
I don't even like the Beatles, rock music is trash.
Stones 69-74
Has no one posted Zeppelin yet? What the fuck guys. It seems like the most obvious answer.
My Bloody Valentine
My favourite is Queen but I guess the best rock band ever could be Zeppelin, Beatles or Rolling Stones.
Black Sabbath
Gotta fit Paint it Black-era stones into that time frame.
Aftermath and Between the Buttons are as good as baroque pop/rock gets
Radiohead
King Crimson
My Bloody Valentine
The Strokes
The Antlers
Godspeed
American Football
>the Rolling Stones
>the Beatles
>Good
metal isn't dead yet, just rock
lel
AC/DC or Led Zeppelin
Only and forever this.
metal is rock
Talk Talk
Its obviously The Kinks
Slint or Talking Heads
The Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, and TVU embodied the rock ethos the best. any other answer isn't very good.
Oasis
/thread
Pere Ubu characterizes everything that makes rock fun.
one decent reply on this entire thread^
Cheap Trick, obviously. They are still a phenomenal live band.
mothers is a progressive comedy band and the doors is a blues band
but paint it black is a tango, not rock
whoa Kim Gordon has a nasty stache in this pic
Might be an unusual answer but I'd personally say Fugazi.
All four members contributed and collaborated in writing the music, they had consistently good discography and were great live band.
