further proof Mozart is overrated

"no"

This is the first time I heard someone starting from middle outward. I mean I agree but it's really really really really really really really really really really weird.

>Deafy and scat-boy even comparable to the God of counterpoint
Summer has come early

ravel is better than any of them 2bh

Uh very early since it just fucking ended, dipshit

Is it OK to like Webern's non-opus works more than his opus works.

I feel this way as well

his slow movement for string quartet is pure bliss

Funny you say that because it's exactly what I was listening to when I posted that lol

so I missed out on Haydn's Creation at the weekend because I was getting over a cold and didn't want to be that cunt that goes to the orchestra with TB. Really disappointed.

>it just fucking ended
Its only just beginning in the southern hemisphere.
Are pro-mozart fags all Australian or something?

bump

Love when you can hear the performers breathing

the holy trinity of mozart beethoven petzold

if you like Mozart, please save your family the pain and just kill yourself. thanks.

why do you hate him so much? I don't like his music much but you have to respect how perfect it is.

chopin

>I don't like his music much
Pleb

>I don't like his music much but you have to respect how perfect it is.

cuck

U just jelly 'cause your contrapuntist bogbilly wankers couldn't write a fugue better than one this idiot did
youtube.com/watch?v=NDKdrQgp_q0

Mozart is bog

Everyone is bog.

Mozart, not even once.

Why does Mozart make plebs so insecure? What is it about his music that they can't seem to understand?

first day on Sup Forums , people hate anything popular here , in some vain attempt at being superior

Prokofiev is probably the most fun 20th c. composer to listen to.

Pleb

NO NO NO

I'm sorry for liking music that's enjoyable to listen to, Anonymous.

I should feel sorry for you. Life must be hell being so pleb.

I appreciate your pity.

Rank all of the eras of music from best to worst

Late Baroque (~1700-1750)

Early Romantic (~1800-1850)

Bump.

People often make fun of Mahler on here, but from what I've heard he makes music with some of the most depth of meaning out of anyone, and tons of composers and conductors love his music. So why do you dislike his music, if you do? Ty

Classicism was essentially anti-bogbilly.

t. Bogbilly

The ending of the No. 41 is better than anything Bach possibly hoped to achieve, speaking of counterpoint.

People often praise Mahler on here too. He's just a polarizing composer, which is a halmark of any great artist, really.

hell, Mozart even preferred to write his name in French

Sure thing, bogapologist.

Bump.

Do you guys any love for outdated instruments?

He writes some phenomenal music but the hour long journey to get there is tedious.

Not as bad as Bruckner tho lol

>tfw length doesn't bother me at all
Guess it's from all the Baroque opera I've listened to, where at least 30% of the running time is dedicated to yapping over a harpsichord.

>yfw Luigi van Beethoven

Bros help me find more recordings like this (Chesnokov - We Praise Thee):

youtu.be/HZjS4s8yi_g

I usually find choral works kind of irritating but this one with the baritone voice I loved, really potent stuff.
I've listened to other Chesnokov's compositions but they just don't feel the same, I digged "Angel proclaimed" too though.
I have also listened to more works sung by St. Petesburg Choir but they don't really follow this style.

Any help is welcome ! I've been searching a lot but nothing is as powerful as the one I heard...

I usually enjoy the music outside of the finale, but the 2nd is an example of one where mostly I am just waiting for the finale, so I understand there. But something like the 3rd, 4th, or 8th it really seems like all of the music is meaningful on its own.

Bach = Beethoven >>>>>>>>>> Mozart

In an inverse of that situation, everything in the 7th is pretty good EXCEPT the Finale.

>go on to Sup Forums

>everyone throws an autistic hissy fit

care to explain?

>baritone
I think you mean bass. Now that is one deep voice.

Because classical music is actually good music unlike rock/pop.

classical music isn't popular music retard

Ah, yes, it's a "basso profondo", sorry I mixed the terms up.

I really like how the higher voices compliment the lowest ones.

Did it rang any bells? I'm fucking desperate for more shit like this

irrelevant.
the point is that you're all dicksuckers who refused to think for themselves and even consider the fact that a composer who isn't considered one of the greatest by critics and the classical community could produce music as good, if not better

>the point is that you're all dicksuckers who refused to think for themselves
You're describing the pop-music community. This is also why they worship Beatles/Led Zeppelin. It's populist trash.

no

A lot of composers made music as great as the three memes. But they didn't make quite as much great music, they weren't quite as original, they didn't perfect the style of a certain period, etc. B, M, and B just happen to be the best, and that's it.

Mozart should be replaced in the classical triumvirate desu. I suggest Brahms, Haydn, or Wagner.

This is about the best I can do for you, Jack.

youtube.com/watch?v=Mjx5E6qS76k

>I suggest Brahms
Brahms would tell you to kill yourself for suggesting that. Ditto with Haydn.

Mozart was simply too good at too many things to be replaced by anyone. There aren't any other composers who showed such a thorough mastery of chamber music, symphony, and opera.

Not bad. It sounds too... 'happy' to my ears but I can see the resemblance. I also don't like how most voices do the same and then one or two start emphasizing little by little.

Thanks anyway, not my cup of tea tho. I like more sombre stuff (i also love Scelsi and Stravinsky)

>Mozart was simply too good at too many things to be replaced by anyone
[citation needed]

"Mozart is good" (Rosen, 532)

ayy! I'm looking for some good Schubert material, I've recently come across Winterreise and I really liked it. Any recommendations?

Ave Maria :^)

Listen to the symphonies, the quartets and the quintet

you're going to want the piano sonatas and the eighth and ninth symphonies, for starters

for the sonatas I recommended brendel or schnabel

furtwängler probably has the best ninth

Page 532 is just the index. Ur citation is bogus.

Fug

rather listen to chopin than mozart tb.h

Sorry I am a huge faggot. Could anyone help me identify this music? I know I've heard it before

youtu.be/Wplj0ITkwho?t=1h34m10s

Bach's Air

thank you

Meme answer aside it's actually Pachabel's Canon in D

new the classical music

I really liked harmonia artificioso by Biber.
where should I go next? similar pieces of music?

Saying any of them except LZ are overrated is wrong.
Sup Forums is full of plebs.

>Sup Forums is full of plebs
yeah, you

(not true, by the way.)

Post underrated CZECHS
youtu.be/HZ4k9fxtm1g

Did you try googling Basso Profundo and Oktavist choral works? Because that would be a good start. If you like Chesnokov, you'll probably like Bortnyansky.

If you like Winterreise, check out Schumann's Dichterliebe.
