Best program to start off making music with?
learn an instrument first
nobody wants to listen to your atmospheric instrumental hip hop beats
Not op but I've been considering picking an instrument up too
My considerations are the violin due to past experience and the trumpet because I like the way it sounds
What do you recommend? Do you play any?
Dragging samples isn't making music
unless you're a 5yo chinese/russian then learning the violin now is a fool's errand
op here, i can play guitar trumpet and piano
just looking for a good program to start off with
I feel like the simplicity and versatility of a keyboard/piano makes it a good starting point.
you don't want to make music with a computer
digital music is just a bunch of numbers
theres no way it can capture the subtleties of something as harmonically complex as a guitar or piano
im just looking for a program to put it all together in
i can connect my keyboard and guitar to my computer already
Ableton Live 8/9 or Fruity Loops if you are looking to get your head around the basics.
You guys smell like butts
bruh
dont listen to all these elitist nerds, ableton and fl studio are both good (but expensive), there are cheaper programs you can find but i dont have much experience with them so i cant recommend
I thought that meme only applied to the piano
And I'm not some savant anyways, I wasn't great when I used to play (it was just for 3 years in middle school but I feel like I could pick it back up easily if I wanted to) but that was because I never practiced outside of school because I have a weird anxiety when it comes to playing music (my own or that of others) around my family or really other people in general
lol 10 bucks you can't distinguish an acoustic instrument from a digital one in a blind test
Okay gramps.
There are so many torrents for Ableton in particular. MAX for live isn't enabled on most of the downloads but that's unnecessary for someone just trying to learn.
t. Jimmy and his mediocre cover rock band
snapchat
yea
t. Greg and his melancholic Nujabes rip off
FL Studio and Ableton are easily pirateable.
>Nujabes
nice try musician how the gigs are going in the piss smelly bikers bar?
Photoshop.
I've been making music for about 6 years now, i started off my first year and a half or so on garage band. Then i got an apc40 and a lite version of ableton live 8. I later torrented a full version, and now have live 9 suite. for plug-ins i use massive, fm8, absynth, serum, and an auto-tune plug-in. I recently downloaded the FL studio beta they made for mac (since im an apple fag) I haven't gotten around to learning it yet but im sure i will soon.
