>EDM

lol

angel olsen already claimed that word for an album name though.

>instapan

>Electronic Dance Music
sounds about right

ooh

I think we need to make a distinction here. I feel like EDM describes artists like Skrillex, deadmau5, and the like.
Electronic Dance Music however, describes music with more nuance, possibly like LCD Soundsystem, or maybe even Daft Punk
Sure, on paper they make the same kind of music, but there is some nuance in how these artists go about making this music

Or how about we call it French House instead of using the retarded American terms EDM and IDM

Wasn't Justice outclassed by Carpenter Brut years ago?

>two men calling their album WOMAN when one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year is called My Woman by an actual woman.

Yeah this is destined for panning

IDM is a British media term I'm fairly certain
Also there's no good American electronic music but y'all knew that

Nice meme

This makes absolutely no sense.

www20.zippyshare.com/v/4zt4hXil/file.html

info?

"no good American electronic music"
You know Detroit exists right?

>electro house
2009 called, they want their shawls and skin tight neon jeans back

Then I'd suggest getting a better idea of how music sites/publications operate these days these days.

My Woman probably wasnt even announced yet when they decided on this title. Any publication that judges an album based on anything other than the music is not worth giving attention to.

Should be out November 18th. I believe I read that there should be a new track airing on BBC Radio at some point today (no confirmation on that).

Fingers crossed they confirm the release date as well.

MAN UP

who cares

HOLD TIGHT

Amazon listing for Woman had three discs before the 404. What could it be?

That's one sexy album cover.

AVD was garbage though

My thread is getting ignored, but here's a preview for tonight's single, Randy.

www20.zippyshare.com/v/4zt4hXil/file.html

Nice, user. Thanks.

Yup, looking forward to this one.

AVD was a grower, a little subdued on initial listen but it really perked up after a while. Still in love with On'N'On.

What album cover is this supposed to be referencing? I know Cross was Electric Warrior and AVD was Who's Next.

Probably just doing their own thing at this point

They're about to air the new single Randy on BBC Radio 1. Listen now boys !

i thought we left this band in the 2000s with chromeo, mstrkrft, etc

bbc.co.uk/radio1

GET IN HERE

Thank you user.

Mid-november release for the album confirmed

Anyone recording? I can't right now

idk if I'm digging this single, something seems way too poppy, it's just off.

Seems like they're going full disco and funk this time. They're probably not ever going to release anything as hard as something on Cross, but I think I'm finally okay with it.

Pretty sure it's gonna be uploaded to their youtube very soon tonight. That was the case with Safe and Sound.

Go tip your fucking fedora somewhere else loser.

Randy was pretty meh. V poppy and kinda boring
Was that the singer from Tame Impala?

I hope we don't get another RAM-type album

>just missed it
>cant replay it
>registered to jew globalist BBC for nothing

fuck that UI too

I think at this rate if they tried to make something as hard as cross it would just sound derivative

I think RAM and AVD both had the problems of having a few great tracks, and then the other subpar half blends together. Loved RAM though.

AVD was miles better than RAM

Youre a fucking moron dude

"EDM" isnt a thing
"Electronic Dance Music" isnt either really. It's all house, techno, breaks, trance(rip), or some subgenre of those (dnb, jungle, garage are subgenres of breaks for example).

most popular "edm" today is just house

the fact that you fucking mentioned Daft Punk and LCD as examples of music with more nuance shows that you know basically nothing about the genre and are entry level as shit

I don't know if I like Randy yet, but I know I need a mirror soon.

Said no one ever.

I meant in the 'lets abandon our original electronic sound and work on 'real' music with 'real' instruments' and expensive production costs' sense
The fact they're using a full orchestra for most of this album isn't a good sign

How is that not a good sign? An orchestra on their album is the most Justice-y thing that could happen

i dont like RAM but you're delusional pal

They've worked with a full choir before, and that worked out well both times.

Not really, all the orchestral stuff from their old shit was all sampled and thus had a particular jarring feel
If they're recording their own orchestra, it'll sound much less Justice-ey

Randy

youtu.be/1Pvhz5v6bzc

which tracks?

DANCE and Safe and Sound were performed by a French Youth Choir or something to that affect.

Safe and Sound is this album so that's not what I was talking about
D.A.N.C.E. is fair game tho

>RANDY
Is it a you groove you loose album?

AOTY confirmed

Was gonna post this. Also Chicago and some NY

>no good american electronic music
>who is rick rubin

>taking his comment literally

>new Breakbot
>new Cassius
>new Mr. Oizo
>new goddamn Justice

2016 has been fucking great for Ed Banger.

Where the fuck sebastian at tho

Sucking Frank Ocean's dick.

literally

apparently he has new music in the works
soon my friend

It has been confirmed (you can see it for a brief second) justice.church/

Sick, can't wait. Right next to my birthday.

I guess Ed Banger have gotta save something for 2017

So guys comparing the two singles we have to first two off of their previous two albums are you hopeful?

For Cross: D.A.N.C.E. and Waters of Nazareth
For AVD: Audio Video Disco and Civilization
For Woman: Randy and Safe and Sound

Also, what are you expecting sound wise overall?

thats hard to say considering how different safe and sound and randy are

>Also, what are you expecting sound wise overall?
Similar to AVD but with new album feel

Same could be said about the two singles off of the previous two albums, it sounds like they're going for more traditional Disco sound though

when the midwest gets involved with anything (except emo and indie they're good at that shit i wonder why) thats when shit starts sucking. Midwest fandom of edm killed demand for anything good. White teenagers can ruin
shit like no other group of people aside black teenagers

case and point teenagers ruin everything even inadvertently

Noticed there were no wallpapers for 1920x1080 monitors. so here's one I made.

why so dark?

>gets involved with

the midwest invented house and techno you fucking peasant

so excited bros

Just listened to Randy and thought it was pretty good. What should I listen to of theirs next?

Is Randy the first song of theirs you've listened to?

yeah, up until now I didn't even know they were electronic

You fucking nigger the Midwest fucking carried noise rock on its back and the chicago scene was a huge deal with industrial. Let's not forget the Chicago rap scene and huge wave of quality folk/folkpunk acts from Wisconsin. Also Detroit helped the founding of house.

Randy 6.38, SnS 5:51: I hope the album is going to be an hour long at least

I don't really feel Randy for now, maybe because it's similar a little bit do d.a.n.c.e, my least fav justice's song

I'm putting my money on Bitches Brew, just judging by the colors

if anything, safe and sound is much more similar to DANCE

idk how you can make that comparison

Well it's pretty damn impossible to not like their first album, Cross.
I guess if you liked the electronic aspect of Randy you should go to Cross, but if you liked the retro disco feel of Randy then Audio Video Disco might be a logical first step.

But Planishpere's the patrician choice
youtube.com/watch?v=rZgfrDMQFas

Listen to Cross, m8. GOAT Electronic album.

Ooo nice catch
At first glance it struck me as similar to a Yes cover, specifically Fragile

ok, maybe more like DVNO, the hwole singing part

Best song associated with Justice

youtube.com/watch?v=m8ixmGFBgZw

lmfao

I don't know why his was so dark.
