i'm 34. see, i knew bowie from back when he was doing stuff and he was a cringeworthy cheeseball entertainer who was all gimmick and no substance. but what happens in hindsight and nostalgia is artists begin to cultivate this legendary status. this is entirely the fault of youngfags who weren't there and have this absent reverence and glorification for the past. bowie was 100% cringe until the 2000s when suddenly everyone was all "OMG such artist XD"

he's just a sack of perverted codpiece to me

>he actually hasn't listened to bowie

It's funny how wrong you are

god damn millenials.

He's right though.

Bowie embodies the phrase "style over substance" more than any other artist I can think of. His career basically consists of him reinventing himself as a new meme every few years. The dude had very little musical talent, but he was a titanic, magnanimous personality and that attracted people to him.

>34
you're a millennial

Millennial are people 1985 and up. If he's 34, that means he was likely born in 1982.

Authors William Strauss and Neil Howe coined the term in 1987, around the time the children born in 1982 were entering preschool, and the media were first identifying their prospective link to the millennial year as the high school graduating class of the year 2000.

Is that jeff golfblum?

Not only that, Bowie claimed that he was gay, then bisexual and then suddenly became straight. He knew how to market himself very well, that's why he got a lot of young audience. I disagree that he had very little talent though, I think that he was really good at what he did in the early years and proved that he was a good musician when he started experimenting later on

Don't most sources say that the beginning birth year for millennials is like ~77-81, and end being the mid 90's?

Who?

this is sort of true. My parents always talked about how cheesy he was. It wasn't until I got to college that i saw all the idolization.

>I have not listened to Station to Station

Millennials were born starting in about 82.

All I can remember his bitchass for is the meme school

...

I made the picture that went along with the meme.

nice trolling, you got me to respond! Have a nice day, friends.
