Oh my god I wasn't memed, I was not-memed so hard

...

It's a great album, you're gonna make me have to listen to it again

...

I mightve listened to it like 5 times since I first listened to it

I slept on this for ages. I was vaguely aware of the cover cause it gets posted a lot but I thought it was a vaporwave meme album for some reason. Became instantly obsessed with it on first listen and it went on repeat for like a week. International might be one of my favourite melodies ever.

Also (incoming DUDE) smoke a joint and give it more listens. Amazing stuff

Pro love ad is one of my favorite songs now

I've loved this album for years, but recently something about it clicked. I'm not sure what, but it used to be a lot harder for me to get through it all in one listen.

Superior album incoming

this

This is where I'm at with it now. It seems overly long and can get a bit dull, but at the same time there are many 10/10 moments, like the melody on International

yeah i think i just came to understand the point of the progression, and appreciate the a-melodic, glitchy parts as a kind of pallet cleanser for the subsequent sugary melodies.

And as the album progresses, the two styles start to fuze in a really nice way.

yeah that's really interesting, it feels like the first and second track set up some really different styles, and as the album progresses it they start to blend more and more

I know man, it took me a while of just liking parts of it before it became a serious 10/10 for me.

yeah exactly. Someone a while back said that the lyrics paint a picture of a robot and a human falling in love or gaining understanding of each other or something.

Either way it seems to be about the marriage of humanity and technology.

DUDE

First listened to this as a non IDM/glitch fan because the shoegaze elements seemed like a good way to develop a taste for that stuff. I didn't quite work well enough that I've explored much IDM or glitch, but it worked well enough that I love this thing from front to back. Such a unique piece of music.

I wish the singing was a little more refined, but that's my only complaint.

Has anyone ever actually seem somebody trash on this btw? Everyone seems to praise it every time it's posted. Is it at that great spot where enough people know about it to talk about it, but not enough know about it that the board is inundated with posts about it which leads to contrarians shitting on it?

very cool, its like the musical equivalent of the default windows xp wallpaper or something

DUDE

Yeah I don't really smoke weed anymore, but back when I did, this album really fucked my yarbles.

I mean it still does, but just in a different way.

For a while people would assume anyone who posted it of viral marketing, which is understandable considering how often it was getting posted, but after they all realized the band was pretty much dead anyway they all kind of stopped. And I think the album is genuinely different enough from pretty much everything else out there that everyone gains something from it.

checking it out

lol never thought of that but yeah.

whats so good about it?

It's literally just the opposite of VDC. It's constantly shifting from one dope melody to another, never lingering too long, and it's just extremely straight-forward songwriting.

Also it's really sweet and sugary despite the dark message at the core of this album.

I SAAAAAY YOOOUUU SAY
INTENTIONS INTEEENTIONS

What's she singing on pro lov ad?

I happened to scroll past this thread and read this post while I happened to be listening to Velocity and she happened to sing the exact line.

They really focused up the songwriting.

L O L

Seriously though I can't find the lyrics anywhere

you will never know (why)

iv'e heard someone else say that its "like a robot trying to create paradise" and now that's all i can picture when I listen to this. me being put into a simulation with a robot putting me in different areas or situations and the music being the background music to that. its weird but I often make up visuals in my head to go with the music i listen to
